Princeton Tec

Princeton Tec

Famous for pioneering new technologies and building flashlights for more than three decades, Princeton Tec produces dependable lighting products like headlamps, camp lamps, bike lights and even scuba lights. Princeton Tec tactical flashlights are relied on by the military and security agencies because of their long burn times and great battery life - some actually last 110 hours. For cyclists, bike lights like the new Princeton Tec Swerve tail light provide safety in dim conditions. For divers, Princeton Tec offers the Shockwave LED underwater light, which gives divers 12 hours of reliable illumination at depths as great as 330 feet. And of course Princeton provides standard LED headlamps and flashlights with long life and dependable use for campers, hunters and backpackers.

I'm very pleased with the quality!
By Tori and Daisy, early morning walkers. from Rochester, NY on 10/13/2009
Pros:
Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Stable
Best Uses:
Hiking
Describe Yourself:
Casual Adventurer
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This head light is comfortable and stable to wear. I walk my dog every morning before work, and it is dark at this time of year (Oct.), we leave the house between 5:00 and 5:30 AM. This is the perfect solution to those dark areas along the bike trail. I can adjust it to shine far enough ahead on the trail to be safe, and my hands are free to attend to the dog as needed. I can easily turn it off when we hit an area that is well lit by street lights, to save batter life. I had another brand in the past, that didn't stay put on my head, if you tried to turn it on or off while wearing it, you had to reposition it again. I never used it. This one is all I expected from a head light! Great product, highly recommended.

Comments:
I suspect the plastic mount for the headband will break the first time you sit on it or pack in in the bottom of your pack. Be Careful or get a crush proof case!

Great So Far
By Michael from So Cal on 10/08/2009
Pros:
Adjustable Beam, Bright, Stable
Describe Yourself:
Casual Adventurer
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
A high quality product--nothing cheap or flimsy about it. I haven't tried it in the back country yet, but have been testing it out. Adjustments are easy, it's very comfortable. Opening it up for battery placement and stuffing the batteries in is a bit cumbersome, but you're only going to have to do that ever so often. The button needs to be pressed hard to toggle between the different light settings, but it's not difficult to use. The pivot feature is great and the light is very bright, even in its lowest setting. Overall, a great product at a fantastic price.

The best use for this light is in flashing mode as a means of being seen at dusk or dark. Running, biking, hiking at night. It would serve in an emergency for a lighting task.
