By Mom who Quilts from Xenia, Ohio on 10/04/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My daughter is the adventurer, but her equipments sometimes proves to have uses she didn't anticipate. Having my own headlamp is proving invaluable for quilting & embroidery. It is casting a bright, direct light precisely where I need it, allowing me to turn off overhead lights, saving at least a small amount of electricity.
Good illumination for the small weight By life is music from Salem, Oregon on 10/04/2009 Pros: Bright, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As for all plastic headlamps, care should be taken when packing headlamps. Two of mine broke when travling SE Asia. Epoxy glue cured he headlanmps, and all is well. Also, thought should be given into having an additional brighter light when hiking at night.
By jgardener from Idaho on 10/04/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great for plumbing in tight places when you have no room for a bigger light. Great for looking in any dim place when you need "hands free". I cannot comment on bulb or battery life as I've not had it long enough. But I can assure you I will not be hiking, camping or backpacking with it.
Heavy, but oh sooooo bright! By Ken from Burien, WA on 10/03/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking, Spelunking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this lamp to explore old mines. I needed one that was bright. The Apex is incredibly bright; even its low setting is better than my old lamp.
Cons: It has a "Battery Power Meter", an LED that blinks every 3 seconds for 24 hours after the last usage. I covered mine with a piece of electrical tape so that I could keep the lamp in my tent at night, but still get some sleep.
By Ride to work gal from lakewood CO on 10/02/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Quick charge time Cons: Bulky, Heavy, Twist connector difficult Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use the light for my road rides in the dark. I have only used it a few times and so far so good. As any rechargable battery pack it is kind of heavy and a bit difficult to attach to the helmet using the tie wraps. Once on it stays on and doesn't slide around much. I have difficulty when my hands are cold trying to undo the twist connectors.
Does what it's suppose to... By erin from sacramento on 10/02/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
