They also have great traction in snowy conditions. Don't know how durable or how well it will hold up in wet weather yet.
By iknowurider from Boston, MA on 02/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stable, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Conservative, High-end shopper Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great value in a warm dress boot. I travel in NYC every week (especially in winter). These have been a nice addition to the list. They have kept my feet warm and dry in icy puddles and on slush filled streets. Advice, get some good insoles. The boots have a soft sole with lots of flex. They can hurt if you walk alot.
Comfy, warm, & good traction By FlyGal from Chicago, IL on 01/29/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wore these boots all day to work. Usually a new boot is not that comfortable the first day you wear them. These were. Was in snow & ice and on feet all day. They were wonderful. Getting gel insoles for them though to make even more comfy for long days at work. Great boots for the money.
By CDH from Pennsylvania on 01/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Stylish, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, High-end shopper Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like these boots. They are very warm (fully "fleece" lined), the leather is soft, the styling is simple and thus versatile, the soles are sturdy with good tread, and so far they are waterproof. I wear these for urban sightseeing in cool weather. I always wear thick gel insoles in my shoes for support and comfort, and these boots accommodated them beautifully. I can walk all day in comfort! The soles, though sturdy, are flexible...I think they would wear rather quickly for daily use, however. The zipper on the side limits the depth of their "waterproof" -ness to the average city puddle. However, this is a good quality and attractive boot for the price, and for my needs it's perfect.
By Red Man from Nevada City, CA on 01/15/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Stable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice looking boots for very cold weather - sizing is a little roomy - room for heavy socks. Good no slip tread. Easy on-off zipper. Appear to be very well made boots!
By D from GA to NY from alfred, NY on 12/19/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Stain Resistant, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: great so far. only had them for 1 week, but they're perfect for western new york state winter with 1 pair wool socks. very nicely lined; the sizing takes this into consideration, so they feel very soft instead of big. easy on, easy off zipper. slight rub on lower outside ankle, no big deal after all day wear though. thanks sierra for another great deal.
By Kaatskills Kate from Central New York State on 12/18/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Stain Resistant, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Got these for my husband, who commutes from the wintry Catskills to Manhattan. He needed a good-looking boot that would stand up to lots of different weather (deep snow drifts, icy puddles, overheated train rides, and slick city sidewalks). He loves these! Well-crafted, and an excellent buy.

Very warm and comfortable. Very LIGHT and FLEXIBLE (unlike MANY other winter boots). So far, totally worth it. Jut got them a month ago, so I can't comment on durability.
