Don't know about suitability for large dogs as Casper is 22 lbs.
By Reba the Stonedog Owner from small town Nebraska on 10/29/2009 Pros: Cute, Easily Adjusted, Easy to Put On, Fun, Good Quality, Washes Well Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors, Travel Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This fit our year old Golden Retriever well. With a few adjustments on the load lifters it was a perfect fit.
The handle on the top helps with loading. We now use it when ever he has to travel. The pouches fit two gallon sized bags full of food. Once on, he's ready to roll and knows he gets to go romp!! Images shared by: Reba the Stonedog OwnerShow off . . . sheesh Tags: Using Product
heavy duty but imperfectly engineered By Boo-Dog from Blacksburg, VA on 10/27/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Drink From, Good Depth, Stay Put, Tough Cons: Top won't close entirely Best Uses: Active Dogs, Larger Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Appears durable. Quite large. Heavier than expected, which is not good for backpacking with the dog. Satisfied except that the top won't cinche all the way... so the dog-food spills out. Not sure what the purpose is for that drawstring.
We love it, the Olly dog bowl By innovative from western slope CO on 10/26/2009 Pros: Easy to Clean, Good Depth, Good Height, Tough Best Uses: Outdoors, Washing up on canoe trip Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We bought this for our friend Olle. He and his family started camping in CO this year and we hope they will enjoy it. We always keep a small, foldable, pet bowl in our camp gear for washing hands & faces before meals or after messy tasks. Uses a little water and is so easily packed. Sorry, Dog lovers.
By First time dog owner. from Ohio on 10/21/2009 Pros: Long Lasting, Soft, Thick, This bed wears like iron Best Uses: Medium Pet, Small Pets Describe Yourself: New Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We have a 4 month old puppy who chews on everything. She is constantly chewing and moving this bed around. This is the only material item that is holding up. It is a bit small though - good for a puppy or a small dog.
Why do I have to wear this??? By Kahlua from Georgia on 10/21/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My dog is gaining weight slowly but since I walk her every day but I can't walk faster it seems like if she has to work harder during the walk she will burn some fat - but only in cool weather. Ceasar Milan also recommends this to give the dog "a job" however my dog doesn't like it BUT is much better behaved and heels the whole time - no sniffing/running back and forth doesn't even pee or poop. Pack fits well, doesn't slide but probably a small would be better since the packs hang down farther than necessary and she isn't a short dog- she weighs 47 pounds
By Runsome from Western Slope of Colorado on 10/20/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality, Hunting Season Perfect Describe Yourself: Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Need this in Colorado's Hunting season. Maybe better in Hunter Orange. Works okay
Poorly sized -- didn't fit. By Noel249 from New Mexico on 10/16/2009 Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Our dog it 47 pounds and slim. But this "medium" barely fit, placing the "reflective" strips up on top of her back rather than along her sides where we expected them to be.
They sell similar thin, cheap vests for humans for about $6.
By Mike's Dog Mom from Thornton, NH on 10/15/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable For Pet, Soft Best Uses: Indoors, Travel Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Looks good anywhere in the house. The fleece side is up for the colder months, but the suede side is even more attractive than the berber.
By Dog Walker from Wisconsin on 10/13/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Easy to Clean, Easy To Drink From, Good Depth, Good Height, Stay Put, Tough Best Uses: Indoors, Larger Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use the bowl for local and distance travel. I appreciate its size, the thickness of its material, and its convenience. You probably would, too!
