By Kate from Long Lake, NY on 09/29/2009 Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought to give a black dog good visibility in the woods during early bear season. Great visibility, but material is lightweight and snags/tears easily. After first outing have some repair work to do on it.
Would be fine for visibility when walking a dog on a leash in town.
Quality construction, perfect size By The fine China of Bunker Hill from Longview, WA on 09/26/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality Best Uses: Large Dogs, Travel Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pack fits well. Durable. Recommended.
It is nice for the dog to carry some of the hiking/walking supplies like water dish, poo bags, water, and boots if you should approach a surface that could cut up a dogs pads. (I used to carry it all!) I also will pack convenient items for me like a hat or glasses so I do not have to removed my pack to just put something on quickly.
China is a Boxer/Hound mix from a local Humane Society and turned out be a great fit with our family. (see picture attached.)
I also use the pack to add 2-3 pounds to give her more exercise on a nightly walk. I notice she gets a more satisfied workout.
China also enjoys the extra attention by people when she wears the pack on a trail. She thinks she is pretty hot with it on and has a job to do.
The handle on top is comfortable to carry the pack when you load the car. It also comes in handy as luggage for the dog and she can carry her own luggage in the hotel if necessary.
Hints for fit. Tighten the straps at the chest for the pack to ride up by the shoulders and then tighten around the chest. I do tighten the straps snugly for less movement. I usually re-tighten the straps after awhile during the walk, especially if you see the pack sliding side to side. Make sure to load the pack evenly with weight on each side.
STP ROCKS with GREAT prices! Images shared by: The fine China of Bunker Hill

The Ollydog bowl works well for both food and water.
By BGN from Lincoln, IL on 09/21/2009 Pros: Cute, Easy to Put On, Good Quality Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Our dog is a hearder with no heard. She's an indoor dog & our trainers suggested to get this for her & put about 5 lbs of weight in it to help wear her out more on our walks. She doesn't seem to mind it & it's great to keep extra "clean up" bags, wet wipes, a water bottle, even a light weight rain poncho. I think she looks cute in it.
By jolery from Arkansas on 09/18/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Depth, Good Height Best Uses: Larger Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Haven't even used this yet, but quality seems good, and it's got a pretty good volume to it, which is good because I've got a 90 lb. Rotty.
By Nate from Colo Sprgs, CO on 09/17/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable For Pet, Easy To Clean, Soft Best Uses: Indoors, Medium Pet, Small Pets, Travel Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's not a monster plush bed, but my terrier loves it, and I love that it is low profile bed that doesn't take up a huge portion of floor space.
Medium thickness cushion for a med dog By DavidinKenai from Kenai, Alaska on 09/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable For Pet, Soft Best Uses: Medium Pet, Small Pets Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This would be a touch small for our lab if out on the floor, but fits perfectly in our large kennel. As a bed on the floor, a medium-sized dog, 15-40 pounds would be a good fit.
Not super thick and cushioned, but not as thin as some. Medium in thickness and softness.
