By Tucker's Mom from Indian River, MI on 08/03/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Tough Best Uses: Active Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The drawstring portion of the dish is very stiff and hard to close. The dish is too bulky to just fit in a pocket or fanny pack. It is nice and waterproof though.
By Cinnamon's mom from Cincinnati, OH on 08/02/2009 Pros: Easy access to pockets, Easy to Put On, Good Quality, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for my Golden mix Cinnamon (85lbs) on the recommendation of our trainer. Cinnamon didn't even flinch the first time I put it on and doesn't seem to mind wearing it. We haven't taken any really long walks with it on, but I think she will do fine.
The pockets are a good size for carrying books and easy to access with large zippers. As others have mentioned, make sure you balance the weight as the pack will shift to the side. The pack fits really well so I don't think this size would fit a larger dog.
By New Pup Parent from North Georgia on 08/01/2009 Pros: Cute, Easy to Put On Cons: Sides must be same weight Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors, Travel Describe Yourself: New Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Cool pack, and great for having Fido carry his own supplies. The sides must be evenly weighted though, or the pack slides. This can be a bit challenging as the slightest difference seems to affect the balance significantly.
By montana anna from montana on 08/01/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Easy to Clean, Easy To Drink From, Good Depth, Good Height Best Uses: Active Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: got this for our newest dog and used it for our camping trip, works great, light and packable
By GAgirl from OK on 07/31/2009 Best Uses: Small Pets, Travel Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I did read the description, but it seems much smaller than described. I have two medium size dogs and this is too small for either one. I will send it to the kennel with them, but it's definitely too small for regular use. They both seem to like it and think it's a great toy to shake around.
By Leo from Michigan on 07/26/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Easy to Clean, Easy To Drink From, Good Depth, Good Height, Stay Put, Tough Best Uses: Active Dogs, Larger Dogs, Outdoors, Puppies Describe Yourself: New Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My sister talked me into these, and we just always keep them in the car so we have them in case we stay too long somewhere with him. They fold up small and stay out of the way, but durable enough that we can have them anywhere!
By Lodi from New York State on 07/25/2009 Pros: Easy to Clean, Good Height, Tough Cons: Does not close completely Best Uses: Active Dogs, Outdoors, Traveling Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The biggest problem was that the drawstring did not close the bowl completely so food could spill out while in our backpacks. Folding the cover back over the bowl when in use worked great.
By Dog walker from Newcastle, Wy on 07/22/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this for day hikes, so my dogs can pack their own water bottles. They were easy to put on and adjust. It took a while for my dogs to adjust to the brushing noise whrn going through the trees. Great product for the price.
For the price, this is steal! By Super Strong Sage from Chattanooga, Tennessee on 07/21/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Height, Tough, Will also hold water Best Uses: Active Dogs, Larger Dogs, Outdoors, Smaller Dogs Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Keep it in truck, in training bag for a "just in case" item. It works and it is durable.Female dog does not seem to mind the blue color.
By Icyone from Maryland on 07/20/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Depth, Stay Put, Tough Best Uses: Active Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: New Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this to carry along on hikes so that I can give my dog a drink of water from my Camelback on dry hikes. I carry it on my belt using a biner or in the pack. It also has a cloth cover that closes with a drawstring so you could carry dry dog-food in it; will serve as a feeding bowl in camp or on trips. I'm not sure how easy it will be to clean, so only give it 4 at this point. Seems very well-made.
