large and strange but nice, warm By Alicia from Clearlake, CA on 01/18/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Hand knit alpaca, Nice color, Nice material, Soft, Warm Cons: Boxy fit, Humungus clown arms Best Uses: Around the chilly house, Cold Weather, Over another sweater Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love alpaca. My favorite hat is from bolivia and so is this sweater. I shrank my favorite alpaca sweater 10 years ago and have been searching for another ever since. The cardigan style and the color attracted me. I was worried about the non-ribbed body would be shapeless and boxy. It is.The small fits like a large. [...]The thing I didnt expect is the huge, clown arm sleeves. I wore this for months but the fit made me self conscious to wear it in public. My arms are bigger than the average girl but the arms on this sweater were super huge. The length was ok for me because I am short. I love the color and it is a nice hand knit sweater from bolivia. I was hoping it would be my most fabulous sweater but the fit makes it not so greatI recently resorted to do a "controlled shrink". To see if I could improve the fit. I washed it by hand in hot water (even though it says to wash in cold water or dry clean) and when that still looked huge I actually threw it in a dryer. Now it fits a lot better but it is still oversized and boxy. I could probably still wear it over another thicker cardigan.

workmanship good, but sizing poor. By Mary from MA on 12/06/2007 Cons: Itchy Material, Poor fit Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: the color was lovely, the workmanship good and I liked the zipper style. But the sides bulged due to pockets (which were too small to be useful) and the sleeves stretched out wide after a few minutes of wearing. I also found the wool quite itchy.
