Karbon

Karbon clothing and outerwear is designed and manufactured by Schure Sports, a Canadian company that has been a winter sports leader for over two decades. Karbon’s parent company is committed to providing the winter clothing for 17 national teams, targeting snow sports like alpine skiing, snowboarding and Nordic skiing. Karbon outerwear is designed for lightweight warmth, thanks to efficient Thermore® insulation in Thermolite® ski jackets or soft polyester fleece in Karbon vests and shirts. Consider your favorite winter sports before you make a purchase: Karbon’s stretchy soft shell jackets are great for Nordic or cross country skiing, while fully waterproof and thoroughly insulated Karbon ski jackets are best for serious downhill skiing. No matter your snow sport, you need a moisture-wicking shirt... and it never hurts to have ski pants with Teflon® stain protection.

Comments:
This coat is great! Lots of nice features. Oh the marvelous pockets 3 inside pockets 1 is a mp3 player pocket and 4 outside pockets. Articulated elbows and an inside the sleeve liner you can choose to slide your thumb through and don your gloves. Presto! Hermetically sealed no wind getting up those sleeves. Detachable hood and sleeves. Coat sheds the wind nicely and is roomy enough to add layers underneath without binding motion. I stay dry in the falling snow but have not had opportunity to ski in the rain with it and see if it sheds hours of water. If the detail of coat is any indicator the claim of waterproof should stand the test.

This is a good product if you will use it for a BASELAYER ONLY. If you wear it on the outside it will snag on something as simple as your singernail

Comments:
Stayed dry and toasty skiing in cold, windy weather last weekend. The fit, style and color (sky blue) on this jacket are great! I ordered up one size (to 8) to make sure I had room for layering and it is plenty roomy, but does not look bulky thanks to good styling. The material does make a crinkly noise as another reviewer mentioned, but I didn't find it excessive and it is worth staying warm and dry!

Using this shirt as a work shirt and getting snags/pulls frequently. I like the shirt but probably better suited as a base layer.

Karbon Midweight K-Wick Shirt - Zip Neck, Long Sleeve (For Men and Women)

Not for Me
By JackoVerified Reviewer from Portland, OR on 01/06/2009
Pros:
Comfortable, Lightweight, Snug Fit
Cons:
Unsightly mock neck
Best Uses:
Too thin for casual layer
Describe Yourself:
Occasional Exerciser
Fit:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I bought two of these because I thought they were handsome and would work well under a shirt or a zippered vest or jacket for everyday wear. However the neck treatment is skimpy and unattractive and the shirt is too thin to be effective in casual wear.
