William Joseph

William Joseph

Located near the Wasatch mountains in Utah, William Joseph started out by making advanced, high-quality packs for mountaineering. The fishing angle (pardon the pun) came about by accident when everyone realized customers were hauling more fishing gear in these packs than they were climbing gear. So William Joseph surrendered to this apparent market need and narrowed the focus to fly-fishing equipment. Today anglers around the world are discovering the superlative quality and practical engineering of William Joseph’s fly fishing packs, tools, accessories and apparel. You don't have to fish to love this ingeniously designed product line. You just have to love the outdoors.

Great Jacket
By Alaskan Backpacker from Kansas City, MO on 09/11/2007
Pros:
Breathable, Durable, Lightweight
Best Uses:
Backpacking
Describe Yourself:
Backpacker
Sizing:
Feels too large
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I needed a rain jacket last minute before leaving on a 14 day backpacking trip in Alaska. This jacket fit the bill. We got caught in a number of rain storms and I was one of the only people in my group that was still dry at the end of the week. It sounds silly, but the color also made me feel better since it was hunting season.

William Joseph Mini Chest Fishing Pack

Mini is a good description
By Kayakjim from PENNSYLVANIA on 08/27/2007
Pros:
Durable
Cons:
Mini
Best Uses:
Fresh Water, Traveling
Describe Yourself:
Casual Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
If you are looking for a Compact chest pack for a few hours on the stream, this will work OK. I can fit basic tools, one medium fly box and essential extras, But there is not a lot of room. I bought it to wear while Kayaking primarily. You can wear it over a PFD and still have all your stuff accessible. The main compartment is just big enough for one medium fly box. so the added side pocket is only good for leaders, strike indicators and split shot. Very well constructed. But if you are used to a Vest, The mini chest pack forces you to be a MINImalist.
