By Newfie addict from Richmond, Vermont on 03/06/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional, Handy to access, Lightweight Best Uses: I don't fish sorry, Training my dogs, Walking with my dogs Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I thought I would try this for my long walks or hikes with my dogs. Great for the little stuff you need to take along. I can stuff the leashes, their folding water bowl, cell phone, hat, and a long line in the back pouch. The front pouch provides easy access to their rewards for returning to me off a fascinating track or scent. Has enough extra room to include a glove or other lightweight articles and treats for training tracking, etc. Love it!!
Excellent Deal on a great chest pack! By Wilbur R. Newbur from In The Hills, WV on 03/05/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional Best Uses: Fresh Water, Ice Fishing, Salt Water, Traveling Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a fly fishing guide, and have to carry many items whenever I take a client out. This pack may look small, but do not let that fool you! It is able to handle the workload, believe me. It is lightweight, has numerous pockets, and does not get in the way while fishing. Not only will you save your back on those long days on the water, you will also experience an ease of use not found with traditional vests. Thanks so much for the great deal I found on the William & Joseph Solo Chest Pack!
Nice hemos for big fingers By Agha Khan from Tierra del Fuego on 03/01/2009 Best Uses: Fresh Water, Ice Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this to replace one I lost. I have big fingers and they get "stuck" in the regular hemos. A tad large for smaller trout, but workable. Wish they made a curved version with a smaller nose.
By Steelhead from Switzerland on 02/16/2009 Pros: Easy To Use, Functional Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It makes a good solid impression. Easy to use, lightweight. Enough room & pockets for an one day trip. The only thing I didn't know how to use was the hydration sleeve... But still, it's a good buy.

Didn't want a traditional vest By FNG from Calgary, AB on 02/04/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Functional Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: When I was searching for a vest to store my flys, leaders, tools, etc. I looked at various different vests, but was looking for something different and non-traditional. Then, I was introduced to the William Joseph packs by a fellow fly fisher. I tried on a few different varieties, but the Equinox is what I settled on. It's comfortable, holds all my flies, plus has enough storage to carry a few fly boxes full of extras. The drop down trays for your flies, tools and the new Tippet Management System is convenient and very easy to use. You won't be disappointed with this purchase. I have never been more satisfied with a purchase.
By surfdaddy from San Diego, CA on 01/30/2009 Cons: Difficult To Use, Poor Design Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I agree with the other reviewers. It's actually guite clunky for its size and only good for storing flies on the shelf at home. Maybe I'll give mine to the kids to play with.
Lighten your load on the stream By Trout slayer from Madison , WI on 01/26/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Decent product for a few hours on the water in warm weather when covering a lot of stream area as light weight reduces shoulder strain. For a full day when a water bottle, lunch and rain parka needs to be carried there is not enough space. However, when used in conjunction with a fishing vest it is a good addition for balancing the load and helping to provide everything one needs for a hard day of stream fishing,
