By Dr J from Cedar Rapids on 03/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Functional, Sharp Blade, Variety Of Tools, Versatile Best Uses: Camping, Glove compartment, Home, Hunting, Survival Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: More versatile than better known brand name multitools. The connector to hold the screwdriver heads on is loose but it still works. Fits well on the belt of the handiman and could be a lifesaver in a pinch on the highway.

You get what you pay for : ( By USSOCOM from Tampa,FL on 01/19/2009 Pros: Bright, Low Cost, Spare Bulb Cons: Cheap Super-Thin Lens, Defective Charger Best Uses: Car Camping, Hunting - tracking light, Tactical Light Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I had reservations before purchasing this item but the 25% off deal led me to try it [$]. Well...the charger was defective out of the box but I took it hunting anyway. I figured 45 min of battery life is enough for one use before it gets returned. I dropped it on dirt from my coat pocket and the lens broke. It's about 1/4 the thickness of a cheap Maglight lens. Phenomenal brightness. I'd put it up against my 120 lumen Surefire tactical light & it rocks. For [$] it was a good deal but needs a Pyrex lens and a working charger. Buy with caution..... but you can't get a 500 lumen light anywhere else for under a couple hundred bucks.Ya get what ya pay for...

Tactial light - very bright By SARTech from Texas on 12/21/2008 Pros: Bright, Compact for 500 Lumens, Durable, Spare Bulb Cons: Blinding bright spot, Heavy, No Beam Adjustment Best Uses: Car Camping, Night Searches Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I knew this was more of a police tactical light and a bit heavy for efficient backpacking but still an excellent search/investigaton tool around the house, base camp, or search and rescue.
It is light weight for its candlepower. Keep the handle warm in winter - the aluminum body will be freezing cold. So the only improvement might be a plastic body - still awesome.
Stays on for at over 12 hours By Trawlerman from Huntington Harbour, CA on 12/20/2008 Pros: Compact, Long Run Time, Powerful Light Output Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Emergencies, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This mini lantern is very compact and throws out a lot of light. Great to bring along for travel, camping and for boating.
