Great for Rock Climbing too By LifeIsGood from Reno, NV on 06/09/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, EFFECTIVE, Safe, Works Well Best Uses: Cold Climate, Rock Climbing, Skiing Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Like another reviewer, I have Reynauds and cold can really be miserable and I've used them skiing. But there's an even BETTER use ... I'm a rock climber and I've found cold rocks to be quite painful. A friend recommended I put one of these in my chalk bag and WOW, totally changes everything. I carry them in my climbing pack all the time now. I probably don't need the 10 hour packs in the summer, but I sure love them in the fall/winter/spring

By Finnish Shrimp from Helsinki, Finland on 04/26/2009 Pros: Easy To Use, Works Well Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nothing much to say. It's small, it's cheap, it's warm.
Oh, to the person who was complaining about them not working in 17,800 feet: you should have paid more attention in high-school man, these bags are based on a chemical reaction that needs oxygen to occur, and there isn't enough oxygen at 17,000 feet to catalyze the reaction.
A winter fishing neccesity! By Scotty from Indiana on 04/19/2009 Pros: Easy To Use, Works Well Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these adhesive toe warmers inside my waders all winter when fishing Salmon and Steelhead. I like to wear them on top of my toes, ..my buddy swears by wearing them underneath. A pair of thin wicking liners, the toe warmers and then a pair of midweight wool socks inside my bootfoot waders and I'm comfy for 6 - 7 hours. Do NOT place them directly against your bare skin!
By Bird Lady from Dayton, Ohio on 03/31/2009 Pros: Easy To Use, Safe, Works Well Best Uses: Birdwatching, Cold Climate, Hiking Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very useful for cold weather hiking, bird watching, or for shoveling snow. They don't take up much space in your boots and they keep that all-important toe area toasty warm. I only wish they lasted longer!
By Sarge from Great Lakes, NY on 03/21/2009 Pros: Accurate, Durable, Improves Performance, Works Well Best Uses: Big Game Hunting, Cold Climate Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great for any cold weather activities. I keep several in each family members car for the winter survival kit. You use these one time in an emergency, and you will never be without them again.
By flojo from Oregon coast on 03/20/2009 Pros: Improves Performance, Safe, Works Well Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I would activate at least 20 minutes prior to planned use. They also work MUCH better if you leave them inside your pocket to let the heat build up to a comfortable level. If you take them out and hold in your hands they don't do nearly as good a job at keeping your fingers warm.
By Ski Bunny from Oshkosh, WI on 03/17/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Works well to keep feet warm in ski boots without bunching up like toe warmers. Works best if leave an old pair in and put the new ones on top.
By Ski Bunny from Oshkosh, WI on 03/17/2009 Describe Yourself: Recreational Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: used to keep hands warm while skiing
True comfort on the slopes By Coldfeet from Northeast USA on 03/16/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Works Well Best Uses: Cold Climate, Wet Conditions Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The adhesive is pretty much a one-stick only so line 'em up and stick 'em on right the first time. Open your boots as wide as possible and carefully slide your foot in along the top of the boot to prevent the toe warmer from bunching up. The heat pack not only provides warmth, but also forms a cushioned footbed under the toes, and seems to absorb perspiration.
