Not a good choice for plus sized women By roxracer13 from vermont on 12/22/2008 Cons: Not Warm Enough, Way too small Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this jacket in an extra large when I usually wear a large and it was still too small. The sleeves were really short and so was the overall length. [...]
Quite pleased and glad I gave it a try By Happy Sierra Shopper from Milwaukee, WI on 12/20/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Ordered this one day without reading all the reviews and I'm glad I did so. I did not notice any sleeve length or overall jacket length problems as some others note, but I am a short-waisted 5'4" tall size 12ish. The L fits beautifully.
This is a wonderful coat, even in Wisconsin where we're heading into the subzero temperatures right about now. It is cute, warm, lightweight and versatile (I'll wear it to walk the dog, go to the grocery and for outdoor sports as well)
A great find at a great price!
By Tara from Baton Rouge, LA on 12/19/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Downhill, Freestyle Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The sleeves are a bit short, but I am rather tall so it may be just me. But I love the look!!!
By Mom in Oregon from Baker City, Oregon on 12/17/2008 Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered this for my daughter who is 12. I ordered the small and it was tiny so I sent it back and ordered a large and it was also tiny...runs very, very small!
It will work, but could be better By Carrie from Lancaster, PA on 12/15/2008 Best Uses: Just plain running around Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The topstitching was done poorly, it's noticable, white on purple. The jacket fits okay, but I will definitely have cold wrists if I don't wear a long enough shirt underneath. I purchased it because it was purple (for Red Hat event) and it was inexpensive. If I had purchased this at full price I would have returned the jacket...but since it was a "steal", I'm willing to live with the short comings.
The snaps on hood broke off By Mom from Poway, CA on 12/14/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Around townschool Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered this same jacket for my daughter (age 11) a few weeks ago and was pleased. Her twin sis wanted the same jacket in a different color. I was very disappointed since 3 of the 4 snaps that secure the hood under her chin were broken off and useless. I have no idea if we can repair it or get replacements. Still, it was inexpensive and you do get what you pay for. She's happy with the jacket for an upcoming school camping trip.
By Lulu from Savannah, GA on 12/08/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Downhill, Freestyle Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought for an upcoming trip so have not used it in the snow yet.
By JP317 from New York, NY on 12/07/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Downhill, Freestyle Describe Yourself: Getting Started Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for a lightweight but warm ski jacket. This jacket as exactly that and I got on super sale. I was psyched to get it, but I happen to be 5'11" and have long arms and unfortunately, the sleeves were too short and I had to return it. Bu the insulation seems perfect and it was certainly comfortable and roomy enough for layering. My only other tiny complaints are that it does not have a snow skirt (which for me is kind of important considering I have yet to find pants that fit snug enough around the waist) and the logo on the sleeve is kind of annoying. Other than that, great jacket for the price!
By The tolleyman from Williamsburg, va on 12/02/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut Best Uses: Going Out, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Feels good, looks good, very affordable. Go up one size over normal, it runs a tad small.
Something just not right... By Outdoor_Wannabe from Pennsylvania on 12/01/2008 Cons: Bulky, Unflattering Shape, Weird sleeves Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The coat is as stated, a short jacket which hugs nicely around the waist. However the area around the shoulders seemed fairly bulky. I agree with a previous poster that the sleeves are bizarre being flared and split(even with the elastic cuff.) The dark teal was a nice color but the coat was not for me.
