Comments:
This compact flashlight is in a small suite of armor. You could probably drive your car over it.The metal case is shiny bright so you can find if you dropped it in the weeds. It uses 3 AAA batteries which are small & light and in this application last a long time. A good back up to your headlamp.

Dead Bulb
By Regular Guy from Chicago on 02/27/2009
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
The lamp has 6 led's, on mine, only 5 of them light up. This lamp is a poor mans Princeton Tech. Their hand held lamps are waterproof and far more durable

Failed me!
By HopeVerified Reviewer from NY on 01/23/2009
Pros:
Bright
Cons:
Heavy, NOT FOR COLD WEATHER
Best Uses:
Backpacking, Day trip, Hiking
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
wHEN I NEEDED IT MOST, IT FAILED ME! Winter camping and it would not work more than an occasional flicker! However, it might be good in warm weather and does seem sturdy if a bit on the heavy side. My headlamp worked and saved the day (night!) this past weekend. Do not rely on just one light source unless you are SURE is the moral.

Comments:
I'm not sure about battery life since the insert refers to it a disturbing amount. However, it works fine so far. It should be great for emergency use in a vehicle or car camping. The spot is bright.
