By VCB from Upstate NY on 12/11/2007 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Easy To Install Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I hung the shades inside-out to make a tighter fit to the window casing. The shades still look great.
By zan! from new york on 12/11/2007 Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: brackets do not hold shade in place securely--shade kept falling down when I tried to lower/raise it. Fabric is very nice though. They are very attractive shades except for the fact that I can not lower or raise them without them falling down!
They look great and they're warm too! By Boat Girl from Bucksport, ME on 12/10/2007 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Easy To Install Best Uses: Anywhere in your home Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The only drawback to these shades is the hardware. You have to operate the shade (open/close it) with your hand behind the material. Other than that the shade looks great up and down and was super easy to install.

By Joan the Quilter from Clayton, CA on 12/05/2007 Pros: Easy To Apply, Long Lasting Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Only the Best Quality, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Green Mountain makes a top-quality product. Shades are well-made and a great value for the price. I never skimp on quality, but I am a prudent shopper and want great value for my $. This product fits the bill.
By Jesse the architect from State College, PA on 11/26/2007 Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Install Best Uses: Bedroom, Large Rooms, Small Rooms Describe Yourself: Smart Shopper, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I only bought 2 at first, then when I saw that they were good quality and looked great, I bought one for every window in my house. They work wonderfully at insulating. I haven't had to turn the heat on in any of the rooms in my house yet because they are working wonderfully! They filter light in, so they aren't blackout shades, but they keep the heat in. Highly recommend these for people looking to insulate their house well, while wanting to remain stylish.
By kathy from Iowa on 11/22/2007 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought 4 and am very happy with their appearance. Only problem I am finding is the pull cord is located behind the shade. Stylish but not practical. Hard to lower the shade. I have plants in front of my window and is difficult for me to find the cord and lower them.Other than that, I love the looks. Not sure about the insulating factor yet, I just put them up. They are thinner than I thought they would be and am happy with that. [...]
