Korkers

Korkers

The first Korkers fishing footwear was created using scrap rubber, nylon cord and carbide spikes more than 50 years ago in a small basement workshop. Shortly thereafter, Korkers "River Cleats" were born and this highly functional wading sole system soon became a favorite among local fishermen. Korkers wading boots eventually joined the mainstream market to provide traction and safety to not only wading boots for fishermen, but to footwear for industrial applications. Today, Korkers has taken its versatile wading boots to the next level, creating innovations like OmniTrax V2 interchangeable sole technology. From the river to the trail, Korkers has the wading boots you need to stay safer and focused, whether casting a dry fly or working in the water.

I purchased the first pair for my son, seeing how I can wear his size also I tried the korkers out myself. In need of a new pair a little later on, I did't hesitate to search out a pair for myself. Extremely comfortable and easy to put on. Worth every penny to buy.

Comments:
I have used these for an entire season now and can't complain about anything. They are durable, lightweight, and dry fast. I cover alot of river when I fish and the quick change soles make hiking along the bank much easier. I use the felt studded soles most of the time and they grip just as good as any boot I have ever used.

Korkers Wading Boots (For Men and Women)

Korkers Konvertible wading boots
By rxflyfisherVerified Reviewer from Westminster, MD and the world on 03/03/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Easy to lace, Good Grip, Lightweight, Soles switch so easily
Cons:
Collects weeds seeds
Best Uses:
Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
These are the best wading boots I have ever owned, bar none. The interchangeable soles are a real plus and they are easy to change. The only drawback I have noticed is their tendency to gather seeds and debris in the nooks and crannies around the lacing. After many hours of wear, the rubber began to separate around the toe. I fixed this with shoe goo but it really should not have happened. I am always concerned about carrying plant and critter to another stream. You must be careful with any boot but this boot makes it easy to use one set of soles in one river (country) and then replace them without throwing out the entire boot. Since I wore these in NZ, I just got several pairs of soles and interchange them between river.

Nice boot at a good price
By eyenmyflyVerified Reviewer from Kentucky on 02/10/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Good Grip
Cons:
Have to keep soles clean
Best Uses:
Fly Fishing
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I bought these boots from here last Spring and have not had a problem. The felt soles have excellent grip, didn't use the hiking soles much but are handy when you need them. They are very comfortable for me and I have knee problems. Only "con" is you have to take the time to insert the sole correctly and make sure the sole track is clean when you do it.

Great wading boots
By DougieVerified Reviewer from Italy on 01/31/2008
Pros:
3 years regular use, Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight
Best Uses:
Fly Fishing
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Regular use fly fishing about 2 or 3 times a week all year and all day. Very comfortable. First pair lasted 3 years, and still not finished. I love the changeable soles, and this makes the boots last much longer as the soles always wear-out first. When changing them, just make sure you clean-out all sand/dirt etc. from the grooves where you slide the soles in, and you won't have any trouble. The felt is 1st class & the cleated felt soles are wonderful. I'm about to try the aqua stealth w/cleats for the first time this season on the river. I use the "heck" out of them. From now one, I'll only buy Korkers!
