By GAWayne from Athens, GA on 07/20/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Durable, Stable Cons: Causes Hotspots or Blisters Best Uses: Trout fishing wading Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear 12 or 13 athletic shoe. These were sized as athletic shoes, but are narrow across the widest part of foot behind toe line. I have a narrow foot, and these had to be taken to shoe store and stretched across width. Seem well built, and worked well on slippery wet rocks, with felt and spiked bottom.
By Corked from Bethel, CT on 07/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just wore out my original soles. My review is based on the original sole. Long lasting. Changes easily. Good STP pricing.
By Corked from Bethel, CT on 07/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Had to have a second pair at this price! I love my original pair. Just wore out my first sole. Boot is average weight when wet. Not as heavy as the competition. Good to wear with standard sole while getting to the stream. Then a quick change to the felt sole and I am fishing in no time.
By orflyfisher from Oregon on 07/17/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Looks Great, Stable Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My wife just bought me these shoes on line. When they arrived they fit in length perfectly, but the width is a little too tight for comfort. I wear a size 10 1/2 D in my custom work boots, which means I have a medium width foot. However, my wife ordered size 11, and they seem to be way too tight across the ball of the foot. I have yet to wear them for any extended period of time, but all other reviews that I have read only say the run small in size. So far they seem to be really well made, and the soles are easy to change out once you figure it out.
Great Value: Two Sandals in One By Fat Bob from Richmond, VA on 07/07/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Convertible soles are big advantage. I use the hiking sole when loading/unloading and hiking to river. Then I switch to felt soles when I hit the water.
By Catchin' Paul from North Carolina on 07/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Cons: No heel loop to pull on Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great boots at a great price. I had doubts about boots with changable soles but, purchased my first pair at Sierra's great price. What a surprise. Purchased my normal shoe size (13) and they fit my 13 narrow foot just fine with room to spare for adding heavy socks. The laces pull tight easily and loosen easily for taking them off. The seem to support well when I used them wading around the rocks on the Arkansas River in Colorado. The only thing missing is a heel loop to help pull them on but, they still went on easily. The heel loop would have made them a 5 star rating. Now I have one pair of boots that I can change soles for the conditions I'm wading in. Wish I'd bought them a long time ago.
Size is larger than expected By Wayne from Georgia on 07/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Shoe is sized large, as if to accomodate wader socks. If using for barefooted wet wading, order a whole size smaller than your normal athletic shoes.
