Good Warm Waterproof Boot By UltraClassic9000 from Virginia on 11/17/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this boot for cold and ice conditions but was unable to wear them because the sizing runs 1/2 inch small. I gave them to a friend and he thinks the ice traction is great but the cold weather rating they put on these boots is stretching it.
Great Product for young feet! By Olav from Lake Park, MN on 11/10/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for my 12 year old son for snowmobiling and playing outside. They were tested during deer hunting, sitting outside in 15 degree temps for hours at a time, he was the ONLY person who had warm feet in our entire deer camp! The only thing is that they are a bit heavy, but he was not complaining about that when his feet where warm...would buy again in a heartbeat!
By 812 from MD on 11/09/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really haven't had a chance to test these out due to no snow but as far as comfort and warmth these seem to be exactly what I was looking for.
By Smokedtrout from Australia on 11/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Grip Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Very comfortable boot, although on the heavier size. I may be more brutal than many on their wading boots, but after one season on Tasmanian rocky Western Lake shores I have trashed my boots, they are ripped and had it. Sad as they were comfy. But I will be looking for more durable next time.
By Nymph masta from North Carolina on 10/13/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Grip Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Worked great for the first few trips, but after only one season they have started to split at the seams. Good deal for casual fishing, but not if you get out a lot. Takes a long time to dry
I would not buy again did not last 2 yrs By none from Navajo Dam, New Mexico on 08/19/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought the studded boots last year. Some of the studs have fallen out. The right heal has come loose. You get what you pay for.
By jmshamgi from W. V. on 08/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Grip Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Lace up easily, and are comfortable.
Are actually a little on the heavy side, and retain a lot of water. Take a day or two to dry.
In frequent and heavy use, these may not end up being very durable ( I've only had them a few months, and I'm beginning to see cracks between the felt and the rubber in the sole.)
However, for the price, they are a very good value for the casual/occasional fisherman.
