Great shoes at a great price By WalktheHills from Three Rivers, CA on 11/13/2009 Pros: Attractive design, Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, so even walking dogs means a walk on hilly terrain and rough roads. Walking shoes don't cut it here. These are perfect! They have great support and stability.
Maybe not so great on the street... By 3dmacs from Jax FL on 11/12/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm a flat foot and the over ambitious arch support in these coupled with a lack of ankle support made these a one day misadventure. Still looking for a comfortable walking shoe for street use...
By scarpsy from Vermont on 11/11/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As always, Sierra Trading is a great place to get good deals.
By Enjoys hiking from from Missouri on 11/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear my Vasque Endorphin for light hiking, short trail running, cold weather, and everyday walking. Very comfortable (good cushioning),lightweight, and no "break in" needed. They're great when in mud or when it rains. Maybe that's why it also makes my feet feel hot -- not breathable as I would have liked, so I guess they're water resistent. I did notice that it squeaks when I walk in it on smooth surfaces, esp. when indoors. It doesn't squeak when I'm on grass or mixed terrain.
Overall, comfortable quality shoe.
By 3BBDs from The Gorge on 11/10/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Cons: Not Comfortable, Not flexible Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These were so hard to decide on. If they hadn't been so stiff I would have kept them. Fabulous traction and stability; plus they seemed extremely well made. Recommend more for hiking/jogging than just running.
