Solid shoe for the money, a good value By mattsolo from Hamburg, NY on 09/12/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Solid shoe for the money. A very comfortable day trip shoe that hugs the foot. I really like the "bootie" style inside of the shoe. Your foot may be difficult to squeeze in initially but once there it is steady and well supported.

A good trail shoe Worth the Gamble By Andy - Fell / Hill Runner from UK - Pennine Hills on 09/12/2007 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: [...] The shoe seemed a little tight out the box, so I eased the lacing system a little and managed to get a snug fit. First outing was for some casual walks and a couple of short treadmill sessions, no major problems with rubbing or soreness, so far so good ( phew! ). Next was an 8.5mile off-road run with plenty of rocky paths, grass slopes and dirt single track. The shoes performed well and I felt very stable considering this shoe is much higher & chunky than most UK low profile fell/trail shoes. I would recommend these shoes for every day off-road training etc, although these may be a little too heavy/high profile for some of you real super light racing snakes and I suspect during winter/wet months the grip may stuggle on some of the steeper wet grassy slopes and muddy trails, however I've only tested in dry conditions thus far so can't be certain !. I like em just fine for trail running & gym work and I would purchase them again ! I'm quite a big wide UK 9 ( nearly UK 9.5 ) so I purchased US 9.5m which was a very snug for me ( lucky the shoes have a good space in the toe box ) I would possibly try a US 10 next time especially if I needed to allow space accomodate insoles/orthotics etc, but this current pair feel fine now after 30-40miles of mainly off-road usage. Overall the fit was good, they have performed well on trails and I like the snug fit, stable ride and durable look of these shoes.

excellent except slightly narrow By garbanzito from denver, CO on 09/11/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Cons: Sole Wears Out Quickly, Time consuming to lace Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational, Serious allterrain walker Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: like many trail shoes, these are slightly narrow for me, but other than that they are a great replacement for the Montrail TRS Comps i always wore (and which are no longer available); compared to the TRS Comps, the Pingora are a little narrower in the toe, and less-ventilated, but they look like they'll last longer and be much more winter-worthy; i need a solid footbed and the Pingoras have it, sturdy but comfortable; the sticky rubber is fine on the trail, but we'll see how it lasts on the street; i hope the toe stretches
