By K9 and Kids Mom from Alabama on 11/08/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant, Well made Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday, Night walking, On a running track, Walking the dog, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great shoes. I have owned mostly Merrels and Solomons over the years and this is my first pair of Vasque's. I will definitely keep them on my list of comfortable shoe brands. I usually wear an 8.5 to 9 and the 9 fit fine. The shoes are roomy in the toe area and fit great. They were a little stiff on the top when I first put them on, but after wearing them around for a couple of minutes it disappeared. This continued as I wore them around the house on and off for 2 days. I then wore them out to meet the girls at the running track and walked 3 miles pushing a double stroller with no issues or stiffness concerns. I think they just need a little breaking in period. With my Solomons and Merrels they were definitely more supple on the top of the shoe and lacing area from the beginning and needed no break in period. However, they were a different shoe material( softer suede-like/mesh) and not waterproof/goretex/smooth leather like these. The traction is great and I feel my feet/ankles will be well cushioned and supported when I do take them on the trails to run. Laces have been great too and no issues with coming untied. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because for 5 stars the shoe should feel like it was molded perfectly for my foot and need no breaking in.

Very Similar to Teva Sandals By DogMom from South Florida on 11/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stylish Best Uses: Beach, Travel, Walking Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have always loved the Teva sports sandals, but cannot usually afford the Teva premium prices (except when Sierra Trading has them on sale!),. so I took a chance on these sandals, and lucked out -- I don't know how durable they will be in the long run, but they feel as good and look as good as the Teva Omnicrom sandals, so I am happy with them so far! They will get their durability stress test when I go on vacation in December.

Just what I was looking for By C from Monticello, AR on 11/05/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good deal for the price, but not the most attractive, dont mind as function trumps form. I never got any blisters which I cant say about most new brands I try. Also I have had both ankles reconstructed so support is a biggie for me, feel comfortable with these shoes on both roads and single track trails.
By outdoor crazy from Big Sky, MT on 11/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Light duty in or out, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I live in the mountains, and I use these shoes for walking my dogs about 4 miles each day and everyday wear. They have great traction, and are very comfortable, because they don't have the heavier, stiffer sole that you get with a hiking boot, but because of the construction, still provide foot support on easier trails or hilly paved roads. I did waterproof them for additional protection in our damp fall weather. I have feet with some problems, and various Vasque boots are just about the only outdoor shoes I own. I live in them!
By Keith in Mexico from Magdalena, Mexico on 11/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Great Ventilation, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great shoes, very light and comfortable but still with great traction and support.
By D from San Antonio, TX on 11/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Front shank for stiffness, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Use for mild trail walking (some scrambling) and around town. Great stiff front shank so you do not "feel" uneven terrain in tender spot at ball of foot. Does not have a "rubber" protected toe box like my other hiking shoes so not sure how well they will wear when hiking on sharp larger rocks that tend to scuff and cut toe box (my leather hikers are shredded at the toe after years of use). A bit roomy so I am wearing thick hiking socks.
