Light weight and comfortable By Cathie C from Issaquah WA on 11/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Follow the suggestion and order 1/2 size up. I really like Vasque trail shoes for the summer and now happy to add these for the wetter winter in Seattle.
Still not 100% decided on these By kyfirefly09 from indepencence, ky on 11/03/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Sturdy/Durable Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These run narrow as other reviewers have noted - even the wide widths - but they work for me and I think they'll get better as time goes on. Plenty of room in the toe box, which I love. My big complaint is that there's not enough cushion at the heels and mine start to hurt after a while. I hope this is more due to my feet and the fact that I tend to walk heavily on my heels than it is to the boot. Will try some cushion insoles and see how it goes (and that's the only reason for 3 stars instead of 4). Otherwise, great boot. Rugged, easy to lace, great traction and warm.
Nice looking, very comfortable shoe. By Nanna from Pocatello, ID on 11/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Runs size smaller. I really like the shoes.

Save an extra pair for me...
By Monte from Sugar Land, Texas on 10/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Work at historical ranch Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This hiking shoe is really good for women with narrow feet. I have a small bunion and they are still okay for that, however, they would not be comfortable if you have severe foot problems. T sole is very durable.
By Coll from State College, PA on 10/28/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Will use hiking shoes on even or moderate terrain, not on mountain trails in Pa, as they are rocky and need ankle support. Haven't broken these shoes in yet!
By Fish from Vail, Colorado on 10/28/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Tree work, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational, Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Waterproof, good traction, support, durable
By Bob-O from Florida on 10/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these shoes 1/2 size larger than my regular shoe size and they fit perfectly. I am a huge fan of Vasque shoes and these are now my favorite. I wore them on some fairly vigorous hikes on parts of the Appalachian Trail last week and they were light, stable and very comfortable. I will probably use them mostly for trail running and day hikes but they would be great for every day wear.
