Vasque

Vasque

What gives Vasque the edge over other outdoor footwear companies? Vasque designs their footwear from the outside in, sponsoring athletes to test products in real life conditions, where they receive "straight talk from the mountains, trails and rivers" - a special grassroots relationship that’s led to numerous "Gear of the Year Awards" from Outside Magazine. What does this mean for you? Vasque footwear is customized to your needs. Vasque bimodal and Monoflex® insoles give stability to carry the weight of a pack. Stealth® High Friction Rubber and Vibram® outsoles have strategically placed lugs for traction on rock, ice or snow. Vasque’s proprietary outsole systems provide traction and motion control for light hikes and trail runs. Let Vasque footwear rise to the challenge of your own real life tests... and hike longer, run harder and ascend higher.

I typically order 1/2 size up in all vasque. I have high arch and wide front and vasque almost always fits me well. Durability has gone down over the years but that seems true of all things.

Comments:
these shoes have caused some pain on the top of my foot as they feel kind of tight from bottom to top. i tried loosening the shoe laces but it still bothers me a bit and i can only loosen them so much or i won't have support. otherwise, they feel comfortable. i have med/high arches, so i have to wear my own orthotic as the arches aren't very high in these. but that's true for all of my shoes. they feel sturdy, have good traction and look great.

Comments:
I bought these boots primarily for an urban office environment, although they are very well equipped for off road adventures as well. The BOA lacing is sweet, love the technology and ease of operation. The fit is very comfortable, I might have been able to fit a 10.5 but 11 is a safer bet, I run in between both sizes depending on manufacturer. I do recommend them, save me a set though, I will likely buy another pair.

Comments:
I run on trails daily. This shoe has incredible traction. I rarely slip around. My foot feels supported and comfortable. This is the best trail shoe I have found. I have weak ankle tendons from years of slipping on turning my ankles on trails. This is the only shoe that keeps my ankles and feet completely stable.
