Rohner of Switzerland

Rohner of Switzerland

Rohner socks are made in Switzerland and are among the softest, most comfortable socks in the world. Expertly crafted on sophisticated Swiss knitting machines since 1933, Rohner produces performance-engineered socks worn by world-class trekkers and climbers. Rohner uses soft merino wool - a natural, itch-free fiber that warms and cools as temperatures dictate - and incorporates other fibers for strength and stretch. Upper foot is designed with a more airy knit that has great stretching power in addition to great breathability. All toe seams are linked by hand according to the meticulous workmanship standards for which Rohner is known.

Comments:
These really are nice and comfortable, but I found the uppers sliding down and bunching up, that does not look so good so I turn them over but on some that didn't completely solve the issue. I still rated them 4 as they are very comfortable, and maybe fit others a little better.

I bought four pair of XLs, the two blue pairs were correctly marked XL, but the two brown pairs were very much smaller even though marked XL on the plastic package. I gave the brown ones to my sister-in-law. She likes them.

Wonderful cushy lower, fits well and keeps feet cozy warm. Upper sock needs more elastic and constantly slides down leg to bunch above ankle. I prefer Smartwool.

I read a lot of reviews on several pairs of pants...this fit exactly what I was looking for. Durable, quiet wicking pants. The description from Sierra wasn't as good as the write ups from other reviewers. Great pants for very active outdoor activity in cooler weather. Wore them yesterday in 40 degrees...aerobic level hiking, not too hot, not too cold. Very happy.

I've ordered several pairs of these, some for my husband too. I love them. They have wonderful cushning on the soles, nice on long hikes. They are very warm, but I wear them on long hikes even oin the summer. Better for colder weather though.

Comments:
Sweet socks. A bit "thicker" in real life than the pic or description states, but the hubby loves 'em and wears them everyday. In sneakers, casual business shoes and boots as needed. Also, they seem to be "inside-out" stitched, this was a little unusual at first, but we realized it offers more flexibility for comfort.
