By Chela from Grattan, MI on 03/16/2010 Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Mostly a great hat I was looking forward to wearing, alas, it was way way too small. But I would consider the brand a good buy.

Tilley LT3 Crushable Aussie Style Hat By Walker from Salish Sea on 02/24/2010 Pros: Excellent sun protection, Light Weight, Stays on in wind Best Uses: Fishing, Hiking, Sea Kayaking, Travel Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Tilley makes the best brimmed outdoor hats available. It is comfortable and provides good sun protection for face, ears, and neck. The wind cord keeps the hat on in strong breezes. It is water repellent too, working in fine light rain and short squalls. The LT models dry fast too.
Great for Hiking in the Sun By A Hiker from Minneapolis, MN on 02/16/2010 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a wide-brimmed hat that provides excellent screening from the sun. It's lightweight and comfortable; very durable. I took it on a trip to Yap (in Micronesia) and it provided excellent service in hikes in the tropical sun. The windcords came in very handy keeping the hat on in stiff breezes (which, given the wide brim of the hat, could otherwise cause it to sail away). The sizing is true Tilley sizing (which, for those who don't own a Tilley, means that one usually buys a larger size than one does for a non-Tilley hat; it's important to follow the Tilley measurement guide available on their web site). Enjoy the Tilley Crushable Aussie Hat By Addict shopper from WA on 02/06/2010 Pros: Does it job well, High Quality, Just the right weight Cons: Not foldable, Shrik after washing Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We have brought five different Tilley hats from Sierra for the entire family and grand parents. They are all well made and comfortable to wear. They do shrink after washing. Suggest to get a 1/2 size bigger.

By up the river from florida on 01/11/2010 Pros: Comfortable on head, Light Weight, Reflects direct sunlight, Straps for high wind, Sun blocking Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Since wintering in Florida, my husband and I have realized we just can't use our usual ball cap hats in the beating sun. I have vitiligo, and my husband is fair. I need a hat that keeps the rays off my face and neck, while being light weight and sun reflecting. This hat does the trick. It is so comfortable you forget you have it on. You don't realize how strong the sun is until you take it off--amazing. We wear them out in our kayaks all day. We loved them so much, I ordered two more for spares. We don't leave home without them.
Perfect for all day sun activities By up the river from florida on 01/11/2010 Pros: Comfortable, Great Fit, Light Weight, Well Made Best Uses: Boating, Full sun, Kayaking, Outdoor activities, Tropical heat Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was having trouble finding a hat that would keep the sun off my face and neck while kayaking. This hat is wonderful. I was very careful measuring my head and following the guidelines. It fits like it was made for me. I have a really small head, and the 6.3/4 is great. I couldn't find this size in a store, so I was really happy it was offered at STP. From the first time I put it on, I knew it was going to be my best friend. I have since ordered another one for a spare. I don't go anywhere here in Florida without it. It is light, deflects direct sunlight, has a strap for wind--so important when you are out in the water. I wear it all day, and it never gets sweaty or uncomfortable. I love it.
