For Broad-shouldered, short women By Small L from Oakland, CA on 10/18/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The arms of the sweater are short compared to the width of the shoulders. The wide shoulders in relation to the shorter arms and body length make the drape of the sweater unflattering unless you are a broad shouldered short person.
By Corner Librarian from TX on 10/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Soft, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this sweater to keep in my office for when the ac makes it uncomfortably cold. The weight of this sweater is just right. because I crochet with alpaca yarn, I expected the sweater to be a little bit softer than it is, but it's plenty soft enough.
By joanie from farmington, ct on 10/14/2009 Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This product was largely machine-made, with some handmade details around the neck and across the front. The sleeves were much too wide at the wrists. The whole effect was unflattering.
my wife is delighted with it. By old herb from Bethesda, MD on 10/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Great Color, Soft, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: my wife thinks it's great even though she has to fold back the sleeves. she has an old alpaca sweater which she loves even though it is now threadbare. this sweater is a wonderful replacement.
By Hashihime from Kalamazoo, MI on 10/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Great Color, Lightweight, Soft, Stylish, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have short arms, and the sleeves, happily, don't hang long, which mean they might be a bit short for some people.
Feels much lighter (weight) than wool sweaters of equal thickness and so very comfortable to wear.
Nice but a little scratchy By jasher from Salt Lake City, UT on 10/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Soft, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the softness of the sweater, and even the long, slightly flared sleeves don't bother me (I usually push my sleeves up to 3/4 length anyway), but the sweater is scratchy. I've never known myself to be allergic to alpaca, so the scratchiness surprised me. Also, the scratchiness seems to increase the longer I wear it, so while I like the sweater, I'm afraid I won't wear it as often as I expected to.
Not as soft as I expected! By ............ from Seattle, Wa. on 10/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Color Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I am going to lightly 'brush' it and hope it gives it a softer feel! Thanks, Ann
By zena from Los Angeles on 10/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am short, so length is not an issue. Taller people may prefer more length. I tried on the sweater when the weather was warm here, and I quickly had to take it off, as it was too hot. It should be adequate for most weather in the Los Angeles area.
Nice light weight sweater By Bea from Bellingham, WA on 10/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Color, Lightweight, Soft, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was pleasantly surprised, how soft and comfortable it is. I would buy another one.
By Desert Dweller from Las Vegas on 10/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Color, Soft Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoor activities Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I love alpaca and I like buy items that benefit the artisans that make them. The concept of this sweater is good (warm and snugly), but the specifications or the execution of them are out of whack. The body is okay but the sleeves are extraordinarily long and skinny, and the shoulders are distended as if they were intended to be puffy or accommodate pads. Altogether weird, but I am going to wash and try blocking it, so that I can wear it.
