Excellent Shoe for Rookie Marathoner By Marathon Mike from Ellensburg, WA on 03/20/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Fast, Good Traction, Great support, Lightweight Best Uses: Pavement, Treadmill Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As a long-time runner but first-time marathoner, the Saucony ProGrid Hurricane 9 Running Shoe fits the bill (even though I ordered a 1/2 size larger than I measure). [$] A great running shoe - I'm ordering another pair to be able to rotate between runs.

By tri-girl from coeur d'alene, id on 03/19/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight Best Uses: Pavement, Wet Conditions, Winter Conditions Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: i ordered a pair of and i usually wear the regular width, so these were too wide. but the saucony progrid hurricanes are the only running shoes i wear and will continue to wear. they are just a great all around shoe. from distance to sprints they're just comfy!
By runkch from Cincinnati, OH on 03/19/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Padding Best Uses: Endurance Training, Pavement Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As a lightweight marathon runner, these shoes easily last me 3-4 months...more when I am not heavy into training. I used to be a Saucony Jazz fan - now that they have "dumbed down" that shoe, this is the only shoe I can wear that relates well. Advertises for the heavier runner, great for lighter weight, efficient runners as well. Buy 1/2 up from your regular size.
By DaveNTempe from Tempe, AZ on 03/18/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Endurance Training, Pavement Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Met my overall expectations for a reliable long distance training shoe. Wonderful forefoot and heel cushioning. Howver, the arch area is too hard requriing me to use a stiffer insert to lessen that feeling. Open mesh upper is great as well as hard rubber outsole which I expect will make for durable long last shoe.
