Saucony

Saucony is a global leader in supplying performance athletic footwear, casual footwear, apparel and accessories. The Saucony brands include Saucony, Saucony Originals, Hind, and Spot-Bilt. This innovative company designs and manufactures technically advanced products to improve the performance of active sports participants in all fields. Saucony evolved from the 1910 shoe store of Russian immigrant cobbler, Abraham Hyde in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Hyde’s first sport footwear products were ice skates, and during World War II the company produced boots for the Army. They produced footwear for NASA astronauts in the ‘60’s, and in 1968 they acquired the Saucony Shoe Company, a small running shoe company known but to a small group of serious runners. In 1998 they adopted the Saucony name for the entire company and continue to set the pace in innovative sports shoes and apparel.

I run almost everyday and am training for an Ironman. I have arthritis in my left foot. The pronation support helps keep the bones in my foot stable therefore I don't need orthotics and no pain. The roll thru feels nature. They also feel lightweight. These shoes will be the pair a wear in the marathon. Can't wait until race day.

I walk approximately 25 miles per week. I have purchased other shoes but I found this pair to be the most comfortable and to afford the most stability. It holds up well. I have mild pronation and the heel tends to wear after 6 months of regular use, but no faster than other shoes that I have tried. Great breathability and lightweight too.

Comments:
I've worn Saucony athletic shoes for years without experiencing any problems whatsoever. However, for the first time, I found these running shoes to be too wide. Even lacing them tighter did not help much and I had to return them. They look great and I was very sorry they didn't fit me well enough to keep.

Comments:
These shoes are so comfortable. I have an old foot injury so I have to be very careful not to roll my foot. My last running shoes didn't have such a wide base and I had to pay special attention. These ones are really wide at the base and I feel much more stable. They are very nice and squishy too.

These are O.K. I jog occasionally and need shoes for neutral foot/supination. These replaced my old New Balance, but I miss the NB lightness. These felt clompy in comparison.

Saucony dryLETE® Thermal Sport Top - Zip Neck, Long Sleeve (For Women)

mid layer, not base layer
By PeggyVerified Reviewer from MD on 11/12/2009
Pros:
Comfortable
Describe Yourself:
Occasional Exerciser
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
The main thing to know is that this is categorized by Sierra as a base layer. It is not; it is a midlayer, as the manufacturer states. It is heavier than I thought, since I thought I was buying a base layer. The outer fabric is a tad shiny, but the inside surface is soft and comfortable. The fit and workmanship are excellent, though my neck is constricted when the zipper is all the way up.

Perfect sneaks. Saucony makes the best shoes out there. I have strayed in the past, but always return to their perfect fitting toe boxes, narrow heel and nice design. Perfect for my neutral strike and lightweight without being feathery. Has felt good on the treadmill, open park runs and track work.
