By phlyline from Asheville, NC on 07/28/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Functional Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great box if you only had to take one. Nymphs on one side and dries on the other. May have some problems with > size 10s. I have an older model of the same box and decided I needed another because it is very handy.

By katocaddis from Cashmere, Wa on 07/20/2009 Pros: Durable, Functional, Keeps Flies Dry, Watertight Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice fly box with clear lids on both sides so that you can actually see your flies. The latch is slightly stiff to operate and I wonder if it will hold up to lots of use. We will see I suppose. Otherwise a great watertight box.

Scientific Anglers tapered leaders By John the retired upstate NY carpenter from Upstate NY on 07/14/2009 Pros: Durable, Reliable, Smooth Reeling Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used a 9' Scientific Anglers tapered leader today fishing on the Neversink River in NY. The leader tapered down to 6X which is very thin and I attached a few feet of SA 7X tippet to the leader, then a size 18 hook dry fly. Once I got it all together is worked real well. But my vision is getting older and I had to use the black tailgate on my truck for contrast in order to tie this nearly invisible line. Don't ask what I caught. I'll admit to pilot error.

That said, you could probably drive a car over these fly boxes and not have tham break.
