Sevylor

Sevylor

To most, the name Sevylor is synonymous with exciting water sports. Yet Sevylor had a humble beginning as the producer of not-so-exciting inflatable bathtubs. In post-WWII France, bathing facilities were hard to come by – so Parisian Berco Grimbert used his high-frequency welding machines to fuse the then-new material PVC into inflatable tubs. The bathtubs later evolved into durable Sevylor swimming pools, flotation devices, and other PVC products. Originally SEVY when founded in 1948 (for Societe Electronique de Vitry), Sevylor added the "lor" to its name later. Not surprisingly, l’or is French for "gold." Sevylor now offers what is virtually inflatable gold to outdoor enthusiasts: rafts, sledding tubes, kayaks, and air beds, to name only a few Sevylor products. Just add air for all-season Sevylor excitement.

Sevylor Towable - Aurora Mach IV

looks good but the lake is frozen!
By Chill BillVerified Reviewer from Braintree, MA on 02/14/2009
Pros:
Rugged
Best Uses:
Boating
Describe Yourself:
Recreational User
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I really have to reserve my comments for a later date, preferably when the ice on the lake melts. In the North East that could be May or June. I opened the package to examine but did not inflate. It appears to be of good quality and the size is as expected.

Sevylor Trundle Air Bed - Full-Size

Nice idea, poor product
By Still looking from Seattle on 08/13/2008
Cons:
Uncomfortable
Describe Yourself:
Bargain Hunter, Practical
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This air bed is basically two twin beds with a space in between so it can fold for other uses. But that is the problem, it's like sleeping on a bed with a hole in the middle, very uncomfortable. I would not buy this bed or recommend it to anyone.

I bought this for my 9 yo son last summer and he loves it. You can actually control where it goes on the wake behind the boat. And you can sit, kneel, basically move around to different positions.
