Sevylor

Sevylor

To most, the name Sevylor is synonymous with exciting water sports. Yet Sevylor had a humble beginning as the producer of not-so-exciting inflatable bathtubs. In post-WWII France, bathing facilities were hard to come by – so Parisian Berco Grimbert used his high-frequency welding machines to fuse the then-new material PVC into inflatable tubs. The bathtubs later evolved into durable Sevylor swimming pools, flotation devices, and other PVC products. Originally SEVY when founded in 1948 (for Societe Electronique de Vitry), Sevylor added the "lor" to its name later. Not surprisingly, l’or is French for "gold." Sevylor now offers what is virtually inflatable gold to outdoor enthusiasts: rafts, sledding tubes, kayaks, and air beds, to name only a few Sevylor products. Just add air for all-season Sevylor excitement.

Pros:
Comfortable, Compact, Easy To Lift, Good Maneuverability, Good quality material, Stable
Describe Yourself:
Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I bought a second one as I was quite impressed with the first. Excellent quality materials used, easy to inflate/deflate, tracks pretty well, large 400lb. weight capacity, loves the white water and surf. A great fishing, diving, or photography kayak and very stable. Kayak also has lots of straps to secure items and 3 foam padded handles to make it easy to carry. Oh, and the seat is more comfortable than some that are on $2000. kayaks! Very happy with purchase.

Should have "boarding" handles as it is not easy to get back on once you have fallen off. Also, the printing was screwed up...but who cares if it holds air!!!
