By poconoredpoll from Poconos, PA on 11/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have had this jacket for several years - maybe the 2007 model? The small fits me nicely, as I usually wear it with many layers underneath (I'm 5'8" 115 lbs). It is also very easy to wash and is pretty durable - I've walked through all sorts of pricker-bushes while birding and hiking and it still looks great. I mostly wear it in the fall and spring during 40-50º days.
By Map Girl from Boston, MA on 11/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was pleased. I am looking forward to wearing this in really cold weather. It is just the extra layer I was looking for. Well made and looks durable, time will tell. I did notice what a few other reviewers said about a piece of different color at top of zipper to cover zipper but it doesn't bother me that much. Agree it seems like it would have been better design as the same fabric.

By zeenie from pasadena ca on 11/02/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable lightweigt, Durable, Haven't worn it in rain, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Constricts Movement, Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: casual use in cool or cold weather. If you are big busted the XL does not leave enough room for layering.I can only have one thin extra layer. Other available sizing such as 1X or 2X would be better for layering. [...] Great company to purchase from.
By Randoner from Lake Forest, CA on 11/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Backpacking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great bag for the money. It is roomy for a mummy bag and fits my 6' frame perfectly. Lots of shoulder space. (I made the mistake of buying a "long" in the past and the foot box was too far away for my feet). I wouldn't buy anything more extravagent unless you are going on a long hike where you need even more compression and thus 750-800 fill down.
By Todd from Silver Spring, MD on 10/30/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, nice color, Nice Pockets, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Layered under a shell-versatile, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've only worn the jacket in rain one time, but I was happy wit it's water repelling qualities. The rain clearly beaded on the jacket's surface and I did not feel clammy on the inside despite have on a fleece underneath for warmth while walking my dog through the woods. I love the olive green color. Hopefully this jacket will stand up well as winter is approaching fast!
By KAT from Utah on 10/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A very nice jacket. It looks great. Just make sure that your arms are on the shorter side!
By mom and volunteer from Bremerton, WA on 10/30/2009 Cons: Tight in the arm pits Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nicely made vest, but too small in the arm pits, couldn't wear more than a long-sleeved t-shirt under it. It would probably functions better as an underlayer than a vest in outerwear.
