By Roamer from Central Oregon on 10/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very cozy jacket for its weight and bulk, just the ticket to stuff into a knapsack for lunch breaks, etc. The zipper works very nicely, and is comfortable to wear completely zipped up.

By c-line from portland, or on 10/28/2009 Best Uses: Backcountry, Hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed rain pants for my bicycle commute. These pants are far too short for me when I am fully extending my leg which in a rain storm leaves me with wet and cold ankles and calfs. I will be returning them.
Good Rain Jacket - Just As Advertised By The Dude from Fort Collins, CO on 10/27/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Everyone complaining about this jacket probably had unreasonable expectations about it. This is an unlined, lightweight waterproof shell made for rainy days, not monsoon weather or winter storms. It's kept me dry through many a rainy day just fine. Good for hiking and backpacking, because it is light and packs down small. If you want a jacket for extreme hardcore conditions, put your money toward a Gore-Tex® shell. But for under $50, this is a good lightweight, no-frills rain jacket.
By Snoregon from Northeast Oregon on 10/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Backpacking, Cold Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very warm and cozy down bag. No complaints except that the zipper does snag a bit easily. I used it the other night when it got down to the low 30's / high 20's and I was super warm without needing to zip it all the way up or cinch the hood down. Comes with a compression sack and has pad straps.
By pj from Vermont on 10/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Sturdy, Waterproof Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I took this tent on a 4 week trip this summer. It was a cinch to set up - I could set it up in the dark with no flashlight. It stood up well in all kinds of weather conditions. I was the only one using it, and there was plenty of room for one, but I imagine that two could comfortably sleep in this tent. I camped for 2 days at one place in NM where there were intense storms - it hailed three separate times in 2 days. My only complaint is that there was so much wind driven rain and hail that the open area where I was camped turned into a mud pit and the mud then splashed up under the fly and into the tent through the mesh - but these were pretty extreme conditions, and otherwise the tent stayed dry. I would buy this tent again - although I imagine it will last a long time.
By woodswanderer[@] from Oregon on 10/23/2009 Pros: Adjustable Hood, Comfortable, Lightweight, Roomy, Stows Easily, Warm Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Backpacking, Car Camping, Cold Conditions Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Watch out Marmot! I love your gear, but Sierra Designs is giving you a run for the money. While this is definitely too warm for a summer bag, it's perfect for late fall/early winter. It compresses quite a bit and while it isn't the lightest bag around, it's a great deal for the price. And when the weather starts getting cold, I'd much rather carry a little extra weight in my backpack than shiver through the night. Of course, it's down, so if you get it wet, well... that's your fault. I've done it before however and the bag dried a lot quicker than I thought. Worthwhile purchase and well-made. You won't get a better deal than this for a quality 0 degree bag. I've had plenty Sierra Designs gear and it lasts for years, which is why I went with them again. This is better than the Marmot bags, believe me, I bought one and returned it.
By SelfBow from Toronto, ON on 10/23/2009 Pros: Adjustable Hood, Comfortable, Warm Cons: Heavy, Zipper Snags Easily Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Cold Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great choice for those camping in fall/winter. The bag kept me so warm at night, I was almost sweating, and on the colder nights features like the velcro tab to hold the yoke together and the cinch-tight hood kept the drafts out. It could be a little lighter and pack down a little more, but if you're a little more budget-conscious, you're really getting good value for your dollar.
Keeps you warm without the expense By Eusebius from Warner, NH on 10/23/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Haven't owned long enough Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It seems to be a great little rain coat. I am concerned about the material that was used to seal the seams. Inside the coat each seam is lined with a cellophane-type material. I hope it will stand up to a few years of wear.
