By Et Cetera from Washington Crossing, PA on 08/31/2008 Pros: Attractive, Good Strap Length, High Quality Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This bag is gorgeous. Black is not an accurate description of the color. The tooled leather is high lighted with gold, copper, bronze and a little purple and blue. The recessed areas are black. The overall effect is rich and gorgeous and could go with blacks or browns. This is not a real big bag; especially by today's standards. Check the measurements and make sure it's roomy enough for you. My only complaint is the zipper closure. Not very elegant or easy to use.
By Marni from Washington, DC on 08/29/2008 Pros: Attractive, Enough Compartments, Good Strap Length, High Quality Best Uses: Everyday, More casual than formal Describe Yourself: Classic, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The bag ended up being better looking in person than in the photo - always nice! I would (and have) recommend this to anyone who wanted a unique yet stylish purse.
By jo jo from los angeles, ca on 08/12/2008 Describe Yourself: High-end shopper, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was in desparate need of a dress/evening purse. I bought the bag in Celadon which works really well as a neutral color for a number of outfits. And the purse is well made. It's not the greatest purse in the world but I've been needing to buy a dress purse for a while now. And it saved me from going out shopping for one. I've already worn it to a wedding and a baby shower.
beautiful bag especially for bag addicts By MEC from Salt Lake City on 08/11/2008 Pros: Attractive, Good Strap Length, High Quality Best Uses: Everyday, Office, Running Errands, Traveling Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: beautiful details; not too heavy for a large leather bag; stays on shoulder; great deep color (I bought the red). this is the first time i've purchased this brand, and i'm quite pleased.
very pretty but pretty impractical By Jules from Columbia, SC on 07/29/2008 Pros: Attractive, Easy Access, Enough Compartments, Good Organization, Good Strap Length, High Quality Best Uses: Formal Events, Traveling Describe Yourself: Career, Classic, Comfort-Oriented, Modern, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The white embroidery looks like high maintenance,(I have the purse in white leather with white embroidery)as I have no idea how to clean it if and when it gets soiled. I do love it though, particularly at this price. I thoroughly enjoy all praise the purse receives. I do store it in it's handy dandy cloth bag when not in use. However, I will not be using it much, only for important occasions. I almost sent it back but couldn't bear to do so, it is such a beautiful purse.
overall satisfied - soft and roomy By beth from washington DC on 07/24/2008 Cons: Difficult To Find Things, Strap length short Best Uses: Everyday, Running Errands, Traveling Describe Yourself: Career, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend use it as everyday purse. little hard to find items- too deep for opening diameter.
almost enough pockets. no secure closure, so if dumps over items fall out.
very soft and stylish.
By Barb from Camden, NY on 07/12/2008 Pros: Attractive, Good Strap Length, High Quality Best Uses: Everyday, Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Comfort-Oriented, Modern, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The low-gloss, linen-hued patent leather trim and subtle sheen of the body are classy, as is the antique brass colored hardware. A comfortable shoulder bag, the drop is about 9-10 inches. The embellishments make it impractical for air travel. I'm a larger woman, but this tote's proportion overwhelms me. However, the quality and price are ideal, and it is chic for an urban setting.
Beautiful but not functional By Vicki from Atlanta from Atlanta on 06/23/2008 Pros: Attractive, High Quality, Iridescent finish, Wonderful tooled leather Describe Yourself: Comfort-Oriented, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend I really anticipated getting this purse, I have a similar Brahmin that is worn out. I was real happy when I opened the box, and still when I examined the purse. Excellent quality. However, the purse is accessed by a zipped top (the kind with two zippers). I had to set the purse down and use both hands to open the purse.
Since my hands are somewhat "siminished capacity" at times, this purse would not work for me and I returned it (but sadly). It would be okay for occasional use, but I wanted it for day to day use.
By lindapwg from Bedford Hills, NY on 04/20/2008 Pros: Attractive, Enough Compartments, Front Pocket Perfect, Good Strap Length, High Quality Cons: Awkward to open top zip Describe Yourself: Career, Comfort-Oriented, High-end shopper, Modern, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love the front flap - perfect for my iPhone. Opens quick, but the top zip is awkward to open because the sides slope up so you're unzipping in a U shape. Unless I'm in the city, I leave the top open, as things do NOT fall out easily. Really nice leather, nice high-end bag.
By Shoein from NJ on 04/11/2008 Pros: Attractive, Easy Access, Easy to Clean, Enough Compartments, Good Organization, Good Strap Length, High Quality Best Uses: Everyday, Going Out, Office, Traveling Describe Yourself: Career, Classic, Modern, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been looking for an attractive summer bag that I could use for work and weekends. This bag has such a wonderful coated, black birdseye fabric, like burlap but more refined. I've received many complkiments on it. It's large enough to put in a file or large envelope. It has enough pockets to organize everything. It's a high end bag and it looks it. FOr the price, it was a great buy! I love it!!!
