The leather was soft and wonderful but there was no way to close the bag. The drawstrings don't work and it would remain open and the bag not only looks bad but poses a threat for losing things.

I bought 3 because of the pricing, and was very happy with them. I often can't make do with the teeny tiny evening bags, and this was certainly easier to work with.

Quality of leather is very good, as is construction. Zipper is a little awkward to open & close, but not much more so than most zippered bags. Very roomy inside...can easily hold all essentials plus sunglasses, umbrella and gloves.
