Kinross

Kinross

Kinross authentic knit garments come from Lochleven Mills, located in Kinross-shire, Scotland. Kinross cashmere begins in Inner Mongolia, where Kinross cashmere is hand-combed and hand selected. Many hand-crafted steps late, downy Kinross cashmere fiber becomes a Kinross garment. Kinross cashmere fibers are spun, dyed and knit into Kinross sweaters in specially customized Kinross knitting mills. Kinross adheres to strict Scottish cashmere production standards. At Kinross mills, natural fibers are dyed before they are spun to ensure deepest color. From combing of the goats to knitting frame operation, Kinross cashmere garments are made by hand. At Kinross, yarn tension and garment shape are monitored by feel to adhere to Kinross Scottish standards for sturdiness. Kinross sweaters have knitted panels and seams sewn by hand to finish the garment and to assure quality. Because of Kinross Scottish quality standards, a Kinross garment will actually improve with wear and washing, hold its shape and resist pilling longer than other cashmere garments.

Comments:
Very good quality. Still kind of pricey. The draping lapels in front look very elegant, but they have a different weave, vertical lines, from the rest of the sweater. I didn't like the way that looks. Suddenly very casual for a dressy sweater. Too short in back.

Can wear this with ANYTHING: skirt, jeans etc. Sleeves are narrow: clearly designed for wear alone. Cashmere makes me itch, though, and I had no problem fitting a light top underneath without looking bulky. Super soft and warm. Fit is close to body on torso.

Comments:
I am 5'5" and 145 lbs and the small fits me perfectly; it is fitted yet drapes smoothly and evenly and is not too trim to not look conservative. I bought two, for wearing under sweaters to work. Extremely soft, but looks high-quality (not soft like the cheap-brand cashmere that is 'fuzzy')

Comments:
For the retail price listed, I thought I was getting real Scottish cashmere, but no, it didn't have that great Scottish loft and softness - another [*] wannabe - but I kept it anyway. It is versitile, and the sale price makes it consistent with other [*] cashmere brands.

A nice cashmere sweater. I got the Briar Rose color which is a flattering pink. The only drawback is that it made my neck itch, but that could be my sensitivity and not a problem with the material.
