By Yellowstone Hiker from Bozeman, MT on 10/15/2009 Best Uses: Long Climbs, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We have found these 8 mm lines to be quite useful for rapelling purposes (as a 2nd line). I'm not sure I would want to use it for a long free rappel, but for more limited usage it works fine.
The Trading Post asked me to rate this. By my name's not Nick from North Carolina on 08/29/2009 Best Uses: Long Climbs, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Getting Started Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Trading Post asked me to rate this. I have not had a chance to get out and use it yet (hospital) but it's fairly lightweight the hand feels smooth, tying and untying knots is easy. I plan on using this as a rappel line more than a haul line but I'll add more to the review this autumn.
