By gwh3rd from North Carolina on 11/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Cons: Not enough ankle flex Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I fly and spin fish in the NC/VA mts and like the boots except that I need more ankle movement front/back & side to side.
Good grip easy to lace & enter/exit - Simms makes good stuff.
Great lightweight jacket. By Paul S from North Carolina on 11/14/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Fly Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this for those mornings/days when I need a little added warmth on the stream or just going to work. It has a nice high collar that protects your neck when zipped up from the wind and sun. The pockets are DEEP and zippered. There are internal pull cords to draw the bottom tight to keep the wind out. warm, light and functional By chromedome from NY on 11/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Performance and functionality is what you would expect from Simms and this jacket achieves it. It adds a very light weight layer of warmth that is needed without adding bulk. With its windproof capabilities, it eliminates the need for a shell on non-rain days. I writing this review as I sit at the lodge on the Salmon river wearing my jacket and feeling absolutely comfortable after a great day of fishing. Not only does it perform well...it looks good sitting by the fire with a glass if wine :)
