Simms

River guides never seem to get cold and wet when dark clouds roll in and winds stir up more than a ripple on the water. It's not because they're hardier than normal fisherman… it's because they’re wearing Simms. Professional guides the world over trust Simms for top quality foul-weather gear, shirts and vests, waders for all seasons, footwear, packs and apparel. When bad weather prompts the fish to bite, layer up in Simms waterproof jackets and Polartec® Windstopper clothing and catch a fish instead of a cold. When the sun shines, try Simms 3XDry shirts with mesh-ventilated yokes and a pair of river sandals. In any weather, wade out after those shy trophies in Simms waders and boots. With studded Aquastealth® soles, slippery river rock will feel solid under your feet. Take a tip from the river guides and wear the clothing made for battling more than just fish – Simms fishing apparel.

Sizing:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:

Comments:
I use this for those mornings/days when I need a little added warmth on the stream or just going to work. It has a nice high collar that protects your neck when zipped up from the wind and sun. The pockets are DEEP and zippered. There are internal pull cords to draw the bottom tight to keep the wind out.

Comments:
Performance and functionality is what you would expect from Simms and this jacket achieves it. It adds a very light weight layer of warmth that is needed without adding bulk. With its windproof capabilities, it eliminates the need for a shell on non-rain days. I writing this review as I sit at the lodge on the Salmon river wearing my jacket and feeling absolutely comfortable after a great day of fishing. Not only does it perform well...it looks good sitting by the fire with a glass if wine :)

Comments:
I wear the Simms Rivertek Long underwear bottoms under my Simms G3 waders when steelhead fishing the north west rivers. The product is exactly what I need for added warmth without bulk under my waders. The stirrups on the bottom keep them from riding up and bunching, especially when putting waders on.
