By Thumper from Duncan, Ok on 12/28/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, nice looking, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great jacket, the only thing about it is that the hood is a little stiff. It needs a zipper in it so it will lie down on the back of the jacket when not in use. When driving in the car the hood pushes my head forward and won't lie down. Still really like the jacket. Great price.
By In KY from Kentucky on 12/28/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Warm Cons: VERY stiff after washing Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very similar to a carhartt, but heavier and not sure it is as warm. Also VERY stiff, even after two washings. But hey, for the price, you can't really go wrong, will just take time to break it in.
By Jean from Minneapolis on 12/27/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this for my son to use walking around his cold campus. He is very happy to have it...it is quite warm, tough, and while it feels stiff, it also feels like the wind won't be whistling through. I wouldn't take this coat on a trip as it doesn't fold up well at all, but for staying warm and taking lots of wear, this is an excellent coat. It does run quite large..my son usually is between a med and large, and the small fit very well.
By karen the mom from johnson city, tn. on 12/25/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this at my 19 year old sons urging. After we recieved it, it was too small and VERY stiff. I ended up giving it to my handyman. I did not think it was worth paying the shipping to return it.
I'm ready for cold weather By Wayne the Kraut from Westbrook, Maine on 12/25/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Weather, Working Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I work in a shipyard on the Kennebec River in Maine. Winters up here can be brutal. I ordered a size larger so I can layer two or three sweatshirts underneath it if needed. It's a warm coat and built to last.
By Mechanic from Fayette, ME on 12/20/2008 Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband is a semi-retired mechanic, who spends his days repairing stuff for people who can't afford to hire someone else - which, since they can't pay, also includes us! I bought this canvas duck jacket to replace the ratty ones he is wearing now. I figured it would be both warm and durable, not to mention not showing the grease as much as his old tan one. He says it is too good to wear! At least he now has something he can wear to keep warmer when he is NOT doing filthy greasy work, and once he has worn it long enough, I expect it will eventually graduate to being a work jacket.
