Bottoms look like they should have great traction. It hasn't snowed yet, so time will tell, but so far I am impressed.
The best shoes I've ever owned. By Travelin' Todd from Asheville NC on 11/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Easy On/Off, Great Traction, Lightweight, Multi-Use, Secure Fit Best Uses: Everyday/Practical Use, Hiking Describe Yourself: Environmentalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought theses shoes and left to backpack around Europe the next day. Flawless. I then wore them every day as a teacher. The next summer I backpacked Korea, Japan and stopped off in Hawaii. This past summer (3rd summer strong) I spent taking 11 and 12 year olds on backpacking trips in the mountains of Western North Carolina. It was on a section of the AT that the bottom started to come off. --One shoe goo application and I still wear em every day. Crazy? Sentimental? Yes. Plus, they are darn good shoes.

cute, comfortable and warm By Shopping for a picky kid from Vashon, WA on 11/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for my daughter, who loves the way they look and feel. She's very hard on things too, and these are holding up well. It would be wonderful if everything were waterproof here in the Pacific Northwest, but it's not fair to expect it of these moderately priced, sued boots. Salomon is really on a roll!
By Bank Cubes from Australia on 11/10/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am 6'6" and the size L salomon jacket fits perfectly - great looking piece of gear - arm lengths in this run slightly longer than a standard jacket but I am loving it. Great fit around the chest - definitely recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to look tired in other sour looking jackets!!!
By RJ from SW MN on 11/10/2009 Pros: Good Traction, Great Fit, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Rafting, Wading Describe Yourself: Advanced User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very light weight and well ventilated. The lack of a lining and heel padding makes the shoes less comfortable than a more traditional style. I think the shoes can take the place of carrying both sandals and shoes on a trip.
