Nice knife. Big for daily carry By John from St. Louis on 10/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Easy To Use, Sharp Blade Best Uses: Daily Carry, Road Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice knife. Well made in Seki, Japan. The VG 10 steel holds an edge and is easy to sharpen. It is a lot of knife for having a short blade. You can get a lot of leverage on the thick handle and the short blade is really wide. I keep it in my pocket everyday. The only problem I have with it is that it is pretty scary looking with its wide spear point and grooved handle. Ive pulled it out to open boxes in front of people and they looked at me like I pulled out an ax.
By Terry from Harbor Springs, Michigan on 10/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade, Versatile Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Day Trips, River Trips, Road Trips, Survival Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Usual Spyderco quality. Sharp right out of the box. This knife was well designed and fits my hand well. The blade is not very long but, doesn't need to be as, it is so well designed that, it takes advantage of the size it is. It is priced well at this discount and I suspect that it will hold up to years of use.
Fastest opening knife around. Can't be simpler than that. Great knife...simple design.
By Middle Earther from Mt. View, CA on 10/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Sharp Blade, Smooth Locking Mechanism Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This, like many frame locks, is not too easy to close but easy enough. A big sharp knife should not be too easy to close. I think it's no more challenging to close that a CR frame lock knife. Since it is steel framed it is moderately heavy. Fit and finish are excellent. Fits my hand well.

Spyderco has a great reputation for a reason and this knife is a reason why.

Lots of bang for the buck! By V8r from Texas on 09/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade, Versatile Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Use the product to cut anything I need to.Handle fits my hand perfect( Large size hand).Excellent fit and finish, sometimes better than some of Spyderco's main line knives. While blade material is not the latest and greatest, it still holds a edge reasonably well, and sharpens with a minimum of fuss. What more could you ask for a knife in this price range.
By Melissa from Baltimore, MD on 09/29/2009 Pros: Attractive, Comfortable Grip, Durable, Opens Smoothly, Sharp Blade Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is one sexy, well made knife. Easy one hand opening, even for my small hands (I am female). It's sharp and has been extremely useful. Durable enough to use while camping and attractive enough to keep with me. The only down side is that the holes in the handle collect dirt and it's a real pain to clean them out.
