Would be good with skirts or also with jeans. The fabric is soft. The color is a little more toward gray blue than I expected, but it is a slate blue and a nice color. I'm tall and usually encounter too-short sleeves, but the sleeves on this are adequately long enough.

Boiled wool is one of my favorite materials for its versatility, longevity, and warmth. This jacket can be used for a lightweight cover for chilly days, or as a sweater/jacket to wear inside on cold days. It dresses up well, add a scarf; and transitions just as well to casual jeans outfits. This piece will last me for the rest of my life.

I would like to see some inside pockets for security items and glassees.
Even small outside besom pockets in addition would be nice too.

Dresses up or down, excellent alternative to a blazer, which, in my opinion, always looks nasty and angular on a woman,(on a man, too, but that is another story).
Also a good alternative to a cardigan, which in contrast, can be shapeless.Warm, sheds water.

This jacket is a classic,you can easily see the wool is fabulous without even touching it,the traditional styling and detail are well done (of course) and IS expected to wear well and receive many compliments--THANK YOU Sierra !

I normally take a US size 8. I ordered a size 10/euro 42. I think the size 12/euro 44 would have been a better fit.
But great fabric, cut and quality of assembly. Just wish it was still available in a larger size!

I was looking to replace an old classic boiled wool Euro jacket & did not like the blanket stitch edging on this style. This jacket is more comfortable than stylish.
