By Sporting _guy from Oregon on 05/25/2009 Best Uses: Target shooting Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Sturdy construction with the exception of the rear sight. Need to be careful so as not to damage it. Built in dovetail for after market sight or scope.
Great Gun at a Great Value By Newport Hunter from Newport Beach, CA on 05/06/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Safe, Works Well Best Uses: Small Game Hunting Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for a good break barrel pellet to give my son. I took a chance on this due to the low price, Simmon's scope, [...] I am pleasantly surprised by the quality, (Made in Turkey [*]), solid weight (Metal and wood.) but not too heavy for kids, quality sights, and accuracy of the gun. This is a solid value and I find it better made than most of the name brand break barrel pellet guns you see at the retailers. I now plan to buy a second one as a gift.
By PELLET HITS THE DIRT from MONTANA/NORTH DAKOTA on 09/18/2008 Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: HAVE HAD TWO OF THESE. AN ORIGINAL PURCHASE AND A REPLACEMENT FROM THE COMPANY. BOTH GUNS SHOOT EXTREAMLY LOW. COULD NOT GET EITHER GUN TO SIGHT IN WITH EITHER OPEN SIGHTS OR SCOPES. SEEMS TO BE A MANUFACTURERS DEFAULT. HOWEVER, THE COMPANY I AM WORKING WITH IS VERY COOPERATIVE AND HELPFUL THUS FAR.
A poor copy of a Gamo air rifle By Vinceb from Salem, NJ on 07/19/2008 Cons: Low velocity, Poor Accuracy, Shoddy Quality Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Right out of the box this rifle had a bad case of barrel droop (barrel points down when the rest of the gun is held level) that was painfully obvious to the naked eye. Velocity and accuracy were not where they should be, and the overall quality of this Turkish gun is notably inferior to the Hatsan-made Daisy's (also made in Turkey). The action is an obvious attempt to copy a Gamo design (the old 220/440/Shadow), but they did a worse job of it than the Chinese.
That being said, Sierra Trading Post took the rifle back without any fuss or hassle whatsoever. Thanks!
Don't agree with above review. By PP from Pleasant Plains Arkansas on 07/14/2008 Describe Yourself: Recreational Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Contrary to the last review I found the rifle I received in the best of condition. Fired about 100 pellets without a problem. Diesel only on the first three shots and settled down quickly. The sights were almost on and required a little adjusting. Another 50 pellets over the Chrony showed an average of 860 fps. Aiguns never achieve the advertised velocity, this one 1100 fps. It is said this is a Gamo copy. If it is, it is an improved copy. I like it.
You get what you pay for..... By fish pro from maupin, or on 03/21/2008 Describe Yourself: Recreational Hunter Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I got five shots out of mine. I'm sending it back and do not want another!
By Scott from Minnesota on 12/28/2007 Cons: Difficult To Use, Flimsy Design Best Uses: Bird Hunting, couldn't use, scope broke Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Poor design and scope mount.
By Big Ben from Walnut Creek, CA on 12/05/2007 Pros: Durable, Powerful, Works Well Best Uses: Target shooting Describe Yourself: Beginner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have two other pellet guns, but the Accuair is far superior. It's hefty, well-built, and very powerful! With a muzzle velocity of 1100 fps, this is not a toy for younger kids to be firing. It has a nice wood stock with rubber shoulder guard. And the 4x32 scope provides a bright, clear image of the target you're aiming for. Highly recommended!
