They allow you to easily get your ski boots on and they fit well at the waist when using the elastic velcro straps.

Loved all the pockets for his "stuff" and the quilted lining wasn't as bulky as the other 3-in-l jackets he had. He also likes the hood. This one is a winner!

This is definitely more a technical jacket. It doesn't initially feel as warm as a down jacket, but once it warms up, it keeps the heat better. It is a little bulky to wear, stiff and crinkly, but that's also what makes it durable. It was a great price as well. Lotsa pockets!
