By LazyCook from Some Wyoming Post Card on 06/19/2009 Pros: Compact, Easy To Clean, Easy to Light, Powerful Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is so handy, I love it for both car-camping and even at home. Perfect for apartment-dwellers without room for a big gas BBQ. (Use it OUTSIDE tho, that whole whole carbon-monoxide thing you know.) It is quick and HOT, with some decent adjustability, BUT no walking away and getting sidetracked! Be prepped and ready to roll with your food. I made a nicely-charred polish sausage, a pot of BBQ beans and grilled garlic toast for two in under 10 minutes! Quick set-up/break-down/cleaning. Spacious cooking surface too. My favorite application? Impromptu "gotta-have-a-STEAK" moments! With the high heat and good surface contact with the non-stick grate, I get a great sear witout losing that medium-rare lovliness. Hee hee, very happy with this grill indeed.
EtaPower 1.7L pot does not fit By Walter from Albuquerque, NM on 06/17/2009 Best Uses: Backcountry Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The inside diameter of the heat exchanger attached to the bottom of this pot was too small to fit over my MSR Superfly canister stove. The description of the pot indicated it would work with MSR stoves, but that is not the case. Perhaps the bigger pot would work.
By tim from Phoenix, AZ on 06/16/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A great lighter to use while camping or fishing.
misleading: the pot is anodized aluminum By ecotropics from northern michigan on 06/16/2009 Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Day Trips, River, Survival, Trips, Winter Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: this is a good value for a lightweight cooking pot, but according to the box, the pot itself is anodized aluminum, and the nonstick surface has titanium in it. i'm not unhappy to have bought it, but i feel that it was mislabeled.
By szofie from California on 06/16/2009 Pros: Compact, Easy To Clean, Easy to Light, Great temperature control, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We used it this last time at camping and was truly amazed how great it is. We did Baby back ribs on it and they were done very quickly and thoroughly. Easy to clean too! Looking forward to using it again and again.
By JC from Western Oregon on 06/15/2009 Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Winter Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These heat exchanger pots really do work, if melting snow or doing lots of cooking they would save lots of fuel.
The finish makes them very easy to clean.
Great light for the price! By bmak57 from boston on 06/15/2009 Pros: Bright, Durable, Long battery life Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been using this light for just under a year. This is an extremely bright beam with very good battery light. The only downside that I can see to this light is that to keep it permanently on (it has a tactical push button on/off switch as well, works as long as the button is pressed) the end cap has to be twisted. It's good in that the light will not accidentilly turn on in your pack (or pocket) but tough to do with one hand when required. This didn't keep me from rating it 5 stars though. Highly recommended.
