Pots Work Well With Easy Modification By Bill from Fort Collins, CO on 09/23/2009 Best Uses: Backcountry Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pot and its 1.7L brother worked well for us on a seven day canoe trip in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and on a five day backpack in Glacier NP. To make the pots work on our MSR stoves (Simmerlite and WindPro)we used a Dremel tool to cut away the flat ring around the heat exchanger at the points where the stove's pot support contacted it. This made the pot make firm contact with the stove's pot support and put the burner up inside the heat exchanger. The two pots nest well. Good value and good performance.

By pyramidpeakgal from carson city nv on 09/20/2009 Pros: Easy to clean, Lightweight Best Uses: Multiday backpacking Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Many other backpacking cooksets are either too heavy or the pots are too small or they do not have lids (!). This two-pot set is lightweight and very easy to clean and the sizes are perfect for 2 or 3 backpackers.
By wyotraveler from wyoming on 09/18/2009 Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This stove does a great job for two. Inspite of what the literature says, it will work with other cartridges, including Coleman.Although it is a bit
bulky, you can easily pack items in the pot to take advantage of the space.
By noexit33 from Portland, OR on 09/16/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Durable, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Tried a couple different lights. This one is simple, lightweight, and durable. It stays in place better then other headlamps i have used. It got wet in my pack a little bit, and had no problems. I can't see why i would need anything more than this.
By Reel-Time from CT on 09/15/2009 Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great product for electrical work on boats - heat shrink tube and terminals. Check for fuel vapors before using in bilge. No hassle with power cords.
By Sunny Day from Fairbanks, Alaska on 09/12/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I chose this headlamp based on the reviews, and I'm very pleased with it. It's light enough to wear comfortably and securely with no hat, there are multiple light settings including different brightnesses and red light, and the angle stays where you set it. It's new, so I don't know about durability, but I have high hopes. Seems high quality.
By Don from Lynchburg, VA on 09/09/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Numerous options for light intensity and breadth, plus a red light. Lamp is relatively light-weight. Very excellent headlamp especially for the price.
Great lantern for its size By Nelsonwurst from Minnesota on 09/09/2009 Pros: Bright, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Emergencies, Fishing, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very bright lantern for its size, and very quiet. Comes in an extremely durable, protective plastic storage box. Cannot find any reason why it would be considered "2nds".
Not limited to using Primus fuel canisters.....I used a diff brand, and it worked just fine.
Looking forward to using this in the fish house this winter, and on upcoming hunting & camping trips.
Have Owned for over 30 years! By MBTNNR from The Beautiful Pacific Northwest on 09/07/2009 Pros: Easy To Clean, Great temperature control, Powerful, Reliable, Stable, Well built Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have owned and used a Primus Camp Mate stove much like this one for over 30 years and have nothing but good things to say about it. The flame control and fuel efficiency are both excellent. I've use it in windy conditions as well and it performed as hoped. No issues at all; very reliable and easy to use and clean. Highly recommended!
