There is no steel toe, but the leather is heavy enough for light welding work. Comfortable thickness, allowing for hours of standing. No blisters when I wore them the first time. They are 1/2 to 1 full size short of normal sizing.
some great boots - US made to boot !! I ride an italian sport bike, so these aren't riding boots for me, but rather boots to wear with jeans to kick back in. Substantial and comfortable.
