By New Englander from Rhode Island on 08/17/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Insulation, Multi use, WARM Cons: Slightly dirty, Smell Best Uses: Camping, Spring/Fall, Winter Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Classic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Yes, the blanket smells like moth balls and is a little dirty when it arrives (like it's been stored for awhile) BUT- it washes easily and it is a very dense, thick, warm and beautiful blanket! I washed it in COLD water in a front loading washer, with mild soap, hung it on the line to dry. The smell came out no problem! It is approx a twin size, perfect 3 season blanket. GOOD PURCHASE! Buy it, wash it, use it, love it!
By Couldn't use it as a dog blanket from St. Louis on 08/11/2008 Cons: Difficult to Clean, Reeks Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Pervasive odor filled any room these were in. Through repeat cleaning, these were destroyed before the odor was gone.

By Jim from Chicago on 07/22/2008 Cons: Smell, Unattractive Design Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The blanket has an overwhelming smell of mothballs. The color is not even, so some areas look like they have stains on them. Other than that it seems o.k.
By Capistrano from Newport, Oregon on 07/17/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Easy To Clean, Good Insulation Best Uses: Spring/Fall, Summer, Winter Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, High-End Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This blanket has a very strong moth ball/chemical(?) smell. I washed it twice, and used a cup of white vinegar to get rid of the smell, which it did. There is a bit of piling at first, so you need to pick off the excess wool, but it is wool, soft, warm, and attractive. I am glad that I purchased it, and am tempted to buy another. It can sit at the end of a bed beautifully. We have it on the back of our sofa at our beach home.
By K. Passo from Idyllwild, CA on 07/16/2008 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was really looking forward to these blankets (I ordered two) because of the styling and the fact that they were all wool. Unfortunately, when I pulled it out of the bag it smelled and felt like someone had sprayed it with diesel fuel. I'm sending mine back.
By julmax from Canada on 07/12/2008 Cons: No care labels, Uncomfortable Best Uses: Dog blanket, Winter Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Never buy "made in China", Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: [...] Probably will use as dog blanket as it is much thicker that I thought it would be. The smell wasn't as strong as some reviewers suggested. At least now after reading other people's reviews i know I can wash it as there's no care labels on it.
not the best to snuggle with... By bluegypsy from the northwoods, WI on 07/08/2008 Best Uses: Spring/Fall, Winter Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This blanket really smelled when I received it, I had to air it out for two days & will probably end up getting it dry cleaned.
By chriskorus from Pomfret, Conn on 06/27/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Clean Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good as a throw or camp blanket. Not really a bedding type blanket. Interesting design though...
