Nice but really strong mothball smell By Irene from Brookfield, IL on 12/27/2008 Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Blanket has such an overpowering mothball smell that we had to put it in the garage, where it will wait until spring when we can put it out in the sun for a few days.
By thrifty bibliophile from San Franscisco, CA on 12/24/2008 Pros: Cheap, heavy, Thick fabric Cons: Moth ball smell, Scratchy Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great blanket, but smells like moth balls. Will try to get the odor out. You get what you pay for, I guess.
By world citizen from Seattle, WA on 12/24/2008 Cons: Difficult to Clean, Poor Quality Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This blanket has over powering odor of chemical moth balls. This will not wash out. Those kind of odors can cause some people to have headaches, etc.
Reeks with mothball smell! By Stephanie from Maryland on 12/18/2008 Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I just received this wool throw yesterday evening. Before I could reach the door to my apartment, I could smell the mothballs. I opened the box, and whoa, it stinks so bad that the other 2 throws I ordered with it stink, too. I wish Sierra Trading Post would mention the mothball smell in their product description. Last winter they offered a wool throw and they mentioned that it smelled strongly of mothballs. If I had known how badly it stinks, I would not have ordered it regardless of the price. I'm sending it back.
