A lot of fluff about nothing! By MomSandi from Wrangell, Alaska on 03/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Inadequate Protection, So thin you can see thru Best Uses: Casual Wear, Layering Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought it to keep me warm.
Don't plan on that, but layered under a warm coat it looks nice.
Hey, it weighs 10 oz-including all fabric, snaps, labels and color. I should have known it couldn't have any fill (silly me)!
By Mal from Leakey, Tx. on 03/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Pretty pastels, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Not bulky good for work Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got myself one last year in yellow in the 'Hot Deals' catalog. It's perfect here in Tx. as we don't have really severe winters. It's very comfortable, pretty and warm enough. I bought another one in pink for a friend ( her favorite color).
I put it away for her birthday present in October and I know she'll love it.
By Waterwoman from Grand Rapids, Michigan on 03/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: this Arctica down vest is a great bargain. It's well made, comfy and warm, not too puffy, styled well and the clearance price is spectacular. I got the L and it fits a size 14 well. My only problem is with the colors: I wish they had darker, more neutral color choices. I got the light pink and I sort of feel like a strawberry ice cream cone in it(a cozy, WARM ice cream cone however).
By D from Wisconsin on 03/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice vest! It's not as warm as some of my other down vest, but it's perfect for cooler days or wearing over a sweater. It's a bright yellow color and fun to wear.
By vaquera from eastern CT on 03/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: [...] I use it as casual cold weather wear and have included it under another jacket for these single digit days. I was surprised by how warm it really is. I bought the small regular in yellow. I have received compliments about it from several people too.
By None from Alaska on 03/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought three - two XS petite (after reading reviews) and one Small (because they were out of the XS petite) I returned the SMall. I usually wear a S or M. 120lbs 5'5". The XS fit perfect. The Small fit too big in the armpit so I returned it. The vests are an extra layer under my jackets or in the house. Keeps me warm in 10-20F weather outside. I kept the yellow and Salmon or dark pink. The pink is bright but very pretty. Not neon pink but a bright dark pink. The yellow is pretty bright too, like a lemon drop candy. Has comfortable deep pockets.
By Jenn from Rhode Island on 03/02/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like this vest and received a lot of compliments when I wore it. I'm losing weight and plan to order one or two for next year in a smaller size.
By Michigan Girl from Harbor Springs, MI on 03/02/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a lightweight vest good for fall or spring days in Northern Michigan but not for weather below 40*. I thought it would have more down but for the price, it is a good buy. I like the color (pink) and it is long enough to provide plenty of coverage.
By Sapphragette from Seattle Area, WA on 03/01/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great value and won't make you look like the Michelin Man! Here in the Northwest "dressing for the weather" can be a challenge - but this vest makes things so much easier.
